Has anyone seen the prices of the new Lego Dimensions computer games?
The game is released on Tuesday 29th September and even on ebay they are already going for about £90. Apparently this is from people who have pre-ordered it, thinking they can make a few quid by selling to people who can't find it in stock anywhere else: Similar to what happened with the Snow Glow Elsa dolls last year.

The best price seems to be from Amazon at the moment, bet even that seems a lot:
£72.99 for Xbox360 / PS3 / Nintendo
£79.99 for XboxOne / PS4

It is about a tenner better than anywhere else at the moment though. Has anyone seen it cheaper? Perhaps using a voucher or something?

I am thinking that Santa wont be bringing this one to our house this year. Perhaps though, the kids can lump in any money they get and we can grab it afterwards.... That's IF the price comes down - which it might not do.

The Amazon price is the best I've seen so far for dimensions which is high on ds1s list

purplepandas · 27/09/2015 15:16

If anyone sees the LEgo Friends Advent calendar for £15 again please let me know. Was too late and now back at full price.

Kraggle · 27/09/2015 15:22

Thanks Brucie just ordered dd some of that sand for Christmas, she will love it!

Binglet · 27/09/2015 15:30

need do you have a Country Baskets anywhere near you. We got a very similar one last year and it wasn't as expensive as the Costco one.

PoopPoooDeDooo · 27/09/2015 15:40

Boots have the Lego City, Lego friends, play Mobil 123, Playdoh and Toot toot advent calendars on 342

needyounow · 27/09/2015 15:51

Thanks binglet I have never heard of Country Baskets but just had a Google. They have a couple on website but unfortunately they are the ones you have to fill with sweets/small gifts which I want to avoid of possible.

woodwaj · 27/09/2015 16:05

RJ do any of your friends want expensive gifts that you can 342 with and split the cost? Might even be cheaper than a discount code that way!

MissRainbowBrite · 27/09/2015 16:10

Had a trip to Costco yesterday and they are getting LOTS of Christmas stock with the toy aisles filling up rapidly.
One thing that stood out was a set of ten Disney Magiclip dolls for just under £18, it includes all 10 princesses with a dress each. These usually retail at about £6/7 each so a great bargain for anyone in need of a present for a little girl. DD loves these so would be perfect from about age 3.

Someone was looking for Chuggington die cast trains? I got a couple in the clearance bit of the House of Fraser website a couple of weeks ago.

BeamingBrenda · 27/09/2015 16:24

If anyone spots the Famous Five bookset in Cosco could they post pls! I know they sell it quite cheaply and it's on my list for dd1 Smile

EverybodyHatesATourist · 27/09/2015 16:38

Tesco have Champagne £10 a bottle at the moment, handy for emergency gifts.

LocalEditorKent · 27/09/2015 16:51

Not sure if this has been shared yet, but via the vouchercodes app or site (I used the app, but look likes the site works too), if you spend £25 in Next you can claim £5 cashback via Paypal. Think it runs out beginning of October...

Here's the link

MooseyMoo · 27/09/2015 17:29

SpottyTeacakes · 27/09/2015 17:37

backinschool · 27/09/2015 17:42

I tried to order the chalk pens but they only went down to £3 - has the offer changed or have I done something wrong? Not that I'm complaining. It's still a great price.

TheDrsDocMartens · 27/09/2015 17:46

The offer has changed.

Drawn in by talk of chalk pens............

I've bought some from Lakeland over the years (white) much neater than 'stick' chalk.
I have a rectangle of 'blackboard' in my kitchen (painted over an area of a boxed in pipe with blackboard paint)
I had no problems with the white once you get them flowing but the coloured chalks...I could not shift them Shock
, I had to re- paint over the chalks. Hmm

SisterMoonshine · 27/09/2015 18:10

whatsonyourplate · 27/09/2015 18:18

Spotted some very cute fish shaped folding shopping bags on Aliexpress which would be a good adult stocking filler. 63p here, youwww.aliexpress.com/item/Mic-New-10-Colors-Tropical-Fish-Foldable-Eco-Reusable-Shopping-Bags-38cm-x58cm-GB021/32415518056.html?spm=2114.031010208.3.1.W1TrWx&ws_ab_test=201556_6,201527_4_71_72_73_74_75_76,201409_1
can also get them via eBay for 99p.
Sorry about the mega link I can never remember how to do short ones.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 27/09/2015 18:39

fuzzpig · 27/09/2015 18:50

I'm finally going to join that topcashback site using the link in the OP, but just wondered, how do I actually get the clubcard points? Do I need my clubcard number? As I can't find my card and have just ordered a replacement, so don't have my number at the moment.

fuzzpig · 27/09/2015 18:50

(forgot to say please... sorry Blush)
