Headphones for ipod
Digital radio
Personal digital radio
Subscription to Uncut
Money for clothes
Trainers for gym

(Hmm. My Christmas list comprises small items all under five quid. DP appears to be living in a wild fantasy world.)

am too embarrassed to post what he's getting

Twiglett · 30/11/2006 15:03

although up till last night I was thinking 'nothing' until he made it pretty clear he expected something

the conversation went something like

"What are you getting me for christmas"
"nothing, I didn't think we were buying each other anything"
"Well I've bought you something"

scatterbrain · 30/11/2006 15:03

I know - and what on earth is an exciting watch - watches are just watches aren't they ?

Asked a work colleague (male) and he got all excited about a Seiko Sportura - they are expensive but not exciting - to me anyway !

DizzyBint · 30/11/2006 15:07

my dh does that. every year we say we not getting each other anything and he always gets me something and i never get him anything. he is used to it now.

scatterbrain · 30/11/2006 15:07

Ooh - my dh would like that too - and he's 37 as well ! maybe it's an age thing - was Evil Knievil big when they were lads ??

Piffle · 30/11/2006 15:07

dp wanted a remote control inflatable ufo just 2 yrs back [sigh]

lorina · 30/11/2006 15:08

digital camera
Napoleonic reference book
aston martin db9

I'm not getting the last one

Twiglett · 30/11/2006 15:08

to be fair though he did give me a long story about when he was a child his neighbour had one of those but he didn't and he really really wanted one but they didn't have enough money

at which I said something along the lines of "30 quid? thir-ty quid? you still don't have enough money"

JoolsToo · 30/11/2006 15:09

don't you just hate it when they say 'I've bought you something'? quite obviously with the hidden message of 'so you'd better get me summat or there'll be trouble'

JessaJam · 30/11/2006 15:10

How I long for a list...an actual list..as opposed to
"I don't know really"
followed after much reminding by
"maybe a CD"
and then eventually he may actually name a CD he wants..

(not only do I have to get him something but am also asked for ideas by my dad, my sister, DH's sister, his parents...)

Twiglett · 30/11/2006 15:12

to be fair last year I did buy DH inflatable battling Sumo Wrestlers

Twiglett · 30/11/2006 15:12

I am being very 'fair' on this thread aren't I? .. to be fair to be fair
