Age 5 and 3. Oldest would love to experiment. Youngest will want to take part though.

Horrible Science have some good kits (not sure of age on box but fine for a sensible 5yo IMO)

OP, there is a website called Mulberry Bush, and it does lots of science sets etc. They have one called Primary Science Set for 4+. Sorry, can't link atm.

Just bought the Orimary Science one for my DN (4) on recommendation from another mum. Can't vouch for it yet but seems good looking at the box/instructions.

If you like the idea of exploring electric circuits then Brainbox do some great sets with press stud connections. My DS had one from about 4 and adores them.

Learning Resources are good for this sort of stuff.

My friend has just launched a brand new kids science magazine full of fun, simple experiments called Whizz Pop Bang. It's aimed at 6-11 year olds however I know lots of 4 and 5 year olds who are loving it, and with your help both your children could explore the experiments!
