Yes I know it's too early blah blah blah but I'm asking anyway. Gonna make a playlist up this year instead of just trying to remember them one by one while putting the tree up. My favourite is Fairy Tale Of New York. Dp's is White Christmas. So what's yours?

I love let it snow... & walking in a winter wonderland.
Tho you can't beat a bit of Noddy Holder screeching 'it's Christmad' either.

WiIdfire · 02/09/2015 23:09

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Chase Holfelder. It's very different from the original and really beautiful. Have a listen. :-)

AnthonyPandy · 02/09/2015 23:12

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole. Perfection.

AsTimeGoesBy · 02/09/2015 23:13

In Dulce Jubilo by Mike Oldfield
Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby and David Bowie
Mary's Boy Child by Boney M
Silent Night by Sinead O'Connor

Fairy Tale of New York is the one I hate the most, sorry! DH loves it though.

marriednotdead · 02/09/2015 23:14

Greg Lake's I believe in Father Christmas. Never tire of it.

WorzelsCornyBrows · 02/09/2015 23:14

Step into Christmas - Elton John
Last Christmas - Wham

LoveVintage · 02/09/2015 23:16

'Its Christmad' - brilliant typo RainDear!

I like Jingle Bell Rock.

frikadela01 · 02/09/2015 23:16

Little drummer boy by bing Crosby and David Bowie
I believe in father christmad by Greg lake (i think)
2000 miles by the pretenders
Christmas wrapping by the waitresses
The Jonah Lewis one about the cavalry.

I love fairytale in new york but think it's overplayed. Cannot stand Mariah Carey warbling.

elQuintoConyo · 02/09/2015 23:33

Let it Snow
Walking in a Winter Winderland
The 12 Days of Christmas
that Chris de Burgh one Blush
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
Louis Armstrong's Zat You Santa Claus (reminds me of Oogie Boogie from Nihhtmare Before Christmas)

I hate the 70s/80s shit, Nobby Holder, Fairyshite of NY. Hate them.

RuggerHug · 03/09/2015 10:37

I started listening to Christmas music this week when I was sorting out the spreadsheet / ordering things. I feel it's a problem only people here will understand...Blush

NeverNic · 03/09/2015 11:13

I love all of them except Boney M's Mary's child, the Bo Selecta song and Band Aid (all versions - except when it appears in Gavin and Stacey Grin) I know band aid.is controversial but the lyrics really annoy me.

My favourites are
Driving home for Christmas (Chris Rea version)
Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Merry Christmas Darling, The Carpenters

Also have a soft spot for the version of White Christmas in Home Alone.

TobleroneBoo · 03/09/2015 11:19

Step into Christmas by Elton John! Although last year I loved Leona Lewis's effort

ChristmasZombie · 03/09/2015 17:07

Oh, so many!

Once in Royal David's City
Mary's Boy Child
Slade's Merry Christmas
I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day
A Spaceman Came Travelling

Last year our school choir sang a carol called Torches, which I'd not heard before but really liked.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/09/2015 17:39

Fairytale of New York BUT it has to be The Pogues and Kirsty McColl not under any circumstances the Ronan Keating version ('tis blasphemy)

franksidebottom · 03/09/2015 21:01

Andy Williams most wonderful time of the year
E17 stay now
Pretenders 2000 miles

HamletTheCat1 · 03/09/2015 22:54

ChristmasZombie I used to sing Torches in my school choir and it was always my favourite. Not heard it for 17 years but I reckon I can remember all the words Grin

I love all christmas songs but I have a soft spot for the magical childhood nostalgia that is 'walking in the air'. I think I prefer the version from the film sung by Peter Auty.

candykane25 · 03/09/2015 23:24

Another one for Mary's Boy Child by Boney M - festive AND disco ????
I also love O Tannenbaum
And the hymn In the Bleak Midwinter.
Santa Baby is fun and makes me giggle.
And Let It Snow is so romantic.
White Christmas makes me quite emotional.
I pretty much love them all.

HamletTheCat1 · 03/09/2015 23:45

Just had a look on my christmas playlist to see if I could find anymore good ones.....

Christmas (baby please come home)

Happy new year by abba Blush

XL · 04/09/2015 00:09
