Take it back and buying something else

No point saving it for next year, it'll be half price by then

7swansaswimmingup · 26/11/2006 21:50

love the fairly violent comment

is he too young for a nice aggressive, knife weilding action man? my ds used to love them

iota · 26/11/2006 21:51

hulk hands are a big hit - if you'll pardon the pun

DS at 3 , his violent stage, loved light sabres, and pirate outfit - with sword. Or anything and sword.

iota · 26/11/2006 21:59

but no-one gets hurt as they're made of foam Pruni

AllBuggiedOut · 26/11/2006 21:59

My DS (3.3) is getting a dolls house. He was having a lot of fun with the remote control TRex in ELC yesterday. Might appeal to the violent instinct...

fireflyxmasfairylights2 · 26/11/2006 22:00

Is it just Irish children that are into farm sets & tractors..and farm animals then?

Mercy · 26/11/2006 22:01

My ds is nearly 3 and can be rather physical (is that waht you meant by fairly violent?!).

Apart from cars, trains etc he loves football the most (he has about 5 of them). gltc do a gym mat type thing which looks good for hurling yourself around on - althouhg we make do with a folded up duvet! Trampoline??

saadia · 26/11/2006 22:02

On his third birthday my ds absolutely loved the ELC aeroplane with little people and luggage that MIL gave him. For his 4th she got him an ELC rocket with astronauts, aliens and space rocks - again he loved it.

7swansaswimmingup · 26/11/2006 22:05

firefly, my ds aged 2 loves horses and tractors as well, were not irish

mustrunmore · 26/11/2006 22:05

We were going to get ds1 a pirate ship for his birthday, but he really wasnt fussed about his friends, or the one in eLC. So he had bob vehicles. But he has fallen in love with that ELC game where you whack the aliens as they pop up (acually, i think you're suppose to pick them up gently like a magnetic fishing game...), so thats what he's having for xmas ,along with a Muppets dvd, and one of those long dragons from Ikea.

Mercy · 26/11/2006 22:06

Firefly - of course not! My dd and ds love playing farms and zoos.

Good idea re dinosaurs - they can fight each other. ds also likes his tiger mask, he can run around and roar his head off.

kikidee · 26/11/2006 22:07

Pruni, do you think he would like
this scooter? That's what my DS, almost 3 is getting (but he's also getting a pirate ship which he is very keen for!!) He tried it out in the shop and loved it.

mustrunmore · 26/11/2006 22:07

Oh yes, and adores tractors! We have 4 Tractor Ted dvds here; he watches one a day in rotation. And his fave role play is 'I'm a power harrow, ok? And you can be a baler'

BaileysMilkshake · 26/11/2006 22:10

My DD - 3 adores trains, she is a huge Thomas fan and we have just bought her anotherwooden train set from ASDA, for £8.96. Her first set - which can be joined to it was £9.99 from ToysRUs. Can't go wrong with trains!

Peridot30 · 26/11/2006 22:27

ELC do a wooden road that you build up to your own design and wooden cars. My ds got this last Christmas and it is the best £40 ive ever spent as both kids play with it.

Dont know how to do links but do know it is on ELC site

fireflyxmasfairylights2 · 26/11/2006 22:33

Ah glad to hear it

We got ds this, he's only 2 but he'll love it!

farm

Gillian76 · 26/11/2006 22:35

We have got our 3yo DS this . It's out of stock at ELC but I'm sure I've seen it elsewhere.
