Knight outfit? ds loved his (plastic) "armour" and (foam) "sword" at that age.

My 2 have always been gentle types, but they LOVED having a large inflatable figure that they could punch really hard - it had a weighted base so just kept coming up for more!

Our fairly violent boys like the thrill of Hot wheels track sets. It seems to curb their need to play captain Hook and 'kil, kill, die' games.

Why not just do something to enhance his view of pirate ships? Get a nice pirate DVD (I mean one about pirates, not an illegal one) or book to get him interested.
