reindeerkid · 14/12/2006 18:57

I would like to say a massive thankyou to the mner who sent nappies and toys for dd,s baby

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 14/12/2006 20:13

Santaabroad, i said germany but dp said no! Mind you dont know why I took any notice of him, I dont normally, he just makes stuff up to try and look clever!! Thank you so so much, I havent peeked at anything yet but its lovely to have some german christmas choc biscuit things for the dc (and me!!)

Jayne, i imagine it is difficult choosing for children you've never met but its all really great, thank you. I love the post office thing, I had one like that when i was little that I loved so I cant wait to help her play with it!! It's all perfect, thank you so much

And thank you to my anonymous giver who left no clues at all but sent operation which dd will love and a W H Smiths voucher which i think I may use to buy 'Cars' for ds as he is obsessed!! And £20 of Accessorize vouchers for me which was wonderful. I went out with a couple of friends sat night so got myself a nice necklace and bracelets to try and glam myself up abit and it was so nice to feel 'sparkly' as atm im 5 months pg with a huge bump so most of the time im just waddling around like a big lump And im sure I'll be wearing it all over christmas too. And i still have £10 left!!
Thank you to everyone who has sent me things, I really never expected anything for me and its really cheered me up so much. In fact i never expected this would be anything like this, i've had so much, all of it (that I've seen!!) is so perfect and I cant wait till christmas day to see m and n's faces when they see their stockings bulging with presents. This has made such a difference to us i really cant express what this means Im so overwhelmed by it all!!

And today i have received a card from lucy and chloe with £20 of m&s vouchers thank you so much and I had the parcel already with a very exciting looking bag for me and a present each for M and N. Cant wait to get to town tomorrow and spend it!!

And i received a huge box of goodies from corrina28 for N and a some little pressies for me. Thank you so much i think i might have to get myself my own little stocking to put all my secret pressies in!! I cant remember the last time i was this excited about christmas! And the things for N are great. He will love the thomas camera set, he's always running off with mine taking photos so he'll be so excited to have his own. And he loves thomas. And the cars are great, ever since he was tiny he loves to drive cars around, especially 'nee naws'!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has sent us things and a huge thank you of course to soapbox and all her family and friends who've helped organise this. And im sure i'll be on here as soon as i can after christmas once the presents have been opened! This really has transformed our christmas. I cant wait till next year as this bump is definitely going to be my last so even if im not financially in a position to help bythen i will have loads of baby things I wont need anymore that I'd love to be able to pass onto other MNers. Think ill have to have a mumsnet box in the loft to add to throughout the year!

Thank you Thank you Thank you

arfishyheauheauheau · 14/12/2006 22:44

Greetings from OZ JARM .

You made me cry being so nice about my parcel . Glad you liked it and that it arrived in time. I thought it would get there roundabout Easter after all this died down and you'd think I was completely barking.

Have a wonderful day. It sounds like you'll have to eat your way through your own bodyweight of chocolate. You had a close call actually - I nearly sent you some Aussie stuff before I remembered it is completely inedible and swapped it for Belgian. Phew.

I would post something about us enjoying the sunshine but it's frigging raining.

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 14/12/2006 23:09

I was ever-so jealous when I saw the card..... I WANT TO COME FOR A HOLIDAY!!!

Thank you so so so so so so so so much. DH has now sat and gone through the package too, and he too is in awe.

(Can I just say - the little green cardigan - IT IS BLOODY LOVELY and perfect for Rebecca and her copper hair!)

arfishyheauheauheau · 15/12/2006 02:04

. Thank you for the best thank you ever.

The card is of our beach (well, we don't own it of course, I am not Xenia), but its at the end of the road. I still can't believe my luck to be here.

Who is C, J, W & E please? Posted French goodies for us - I'd like to send you a card but have lost the packaging that had your postcode and house number on, think dh has recycled it!

SueQ · 15/12/2006 12:44

Many, many thank you's to A in Greenfield with ds C. Your box of very welcomed kindness has arrived and I have sent you a card of thanks. My children will love all of it - and thank you for sending something for me - us mum's are so focused on our children that it comes as such a shock when a complete stranger thinks of us - it was certainly unexpected. Thank you so much. Thank you all so very much. And a very merry christmas to everyone.

MerlinsBeard · 15/12/2006 15:15

to cary with m Thank you from S in stockport for the fire engine, dvds and glasses....the boys will have so much fun with those

Dingle · 15/12/2006 17:01

A big fat santa arrived at my house today in a postal van!!!!!! He handed over to my a very well wrapped up jiffy bag, bearing no clues to the senders identity.

In it was two wrapped presents, one to Amelia and one to my DS. I am sure the kiddies will really enjoy them- whatever they are!!!

I hope you know who you are sending to so you can watch out for this huge THANK YOU!!!!

It is really weird how this has caught me on a low again! We still have no heating, despite it being "fixed" yesterday, I have had Amelia off school with a bug and now my car has broken down on me!! I was also rather emotional today after seeing Amelia's school performance- it hits me so hard sometimes!

I am really trying to get all the Down Syndrome Charity papers sorted & out the way before Xmas and today we should also have heard back from the LEA about Amelia's assessment. I am trying soo hard to get it all done and dusted, put away to the back of the cupboard and actually enjoy spending time with the kiddies!!!!

This surprise parcel has helped so much in making this so much clearer in my mind about the importance of that precious time.

Whoever you are!!! THANK YOU!!!!! It means so much to all of us!

MoreEggnogAnyone · 15/12/2006 17:21

KW in Leeds with DS H, have you received the letter & card etc yet?

It all got very complicated and I had to resort to other people helping me organize it so I wanted to make sure it arrived. I know it's only very small, but I really hope it reaches you soon...
