NotSayingImBatman · 19/08/2015 11:23

Has anyone used aliexpress for a tablet? They have some 7" kids ones with extra tough bumpers etc at the spec I want for about £35 but I'm not sure if it's worth the risk of it being completely rubbish.

I just want a cheapie to keep DS1 off my Galaxy Note!

MishMooshAndMogwai · 19/08/2015 12:10

Just bought 2 MLP hoodies for dd and her friend- let the Xmas shopping begin!!

houseHuntinginmanchester · 19/08/2015 12:46

That eyore set is adorable !

ThomasRichard · 19/08/2015 13:38

Sainsbury's have a toy sale on: lots of Lego, Duplo and Playdoh. I bought a Spider-Man Lego car for DS' stocking and a box of mixed Duplo bricks for the DN's for £12. Everywhere else seems to be selling it at £20-25 so definitely a bargain.

GetTheFudgeOutOfRodge · 19/08/2015 13:49

'Twas me Reignbeau, thank you, I love that set! Do you think it will encourage her to actually nap?!

ncterrornc · 19/08/2015 13:57

Our TK Maxx often do the fire engine / train book mat things - I go DS one last year for £4.99

JessesGirl · 19/08/2015 14:37

The Works have up to 20% off with a code on their website, free delivery when you spend £20 plus something like 18% cash back through Quidco. Think the 20% off code ends at midnight.

insanityscatching · 19/08/2015 14:44

Thank you for the Claire's code just bought dd a backpack, would never spend £30 on one from there normally so she will be thrilled.

Lioninthesun · 19/08/2015 15:35

Playmobil country girl with cat family for £3.46
Playmobil princess at swan pond £2.99 and Playmobil pirate with canon £2.99 - we have the canons with the pirate ship and they fire pretty well!

houseHuntinginmanchester · 19/08/2015 16:20

Absolutely loads of ever after high and monster high dolls are half price and less than half price at Argos. They're usually quite expensive at up to £24 a pop so well worth looking if you have a monster high/ever after fanatic like I do Smile

SideOrderofChips · 19/08/2015 16:33

I used the Claires code to buy a 40cm my little pony plush for £15 :D

Does anybody know anything about Heelys?

7yo DD1 wants some - and no doubt 4yo DD2 will also want them when she realises what they are.

Are they worth it? Did your DC like them? Anyone seen any cheap?

ncterrornc · 19/08/2015 17:03

Was there an Amazon Lego deals linky somewhere earlier or have I made that up?

GetTheFudgeOutOfRodge · 19/08/2015 17:28

Argos also have a few bits of Peppa Pig half price including a bloody massive 22 inch Peppa or George for £15. (Holiday or muddy versions)

My DM has kindly bought one for my DD.
It's bigger than she is and I'm so happy to have a giant incredibly rude and annoying pig joining us soon HmmGrin

MooseyMoo · 19/08/2015 17:28

I used the Claire's code to buy a Frozen Lip Smacker set for £5. There will be one excited girl opening that in her stocking Smile

Matilda2013 · 19/08/2015 17:39

Used the Claire's code to buy a 40cm pinkie pie Smile three Christmas presents Shock and it's only August thanks mumsnet !!

AndDeepBreath · 19/08/2015 17:43

Been spending so long looking at Lego sets now and getting used to the extortionate prices that I almost spent £200. Crazy. Was it always that expensive or has it just gone nuts?! Second hand on eBay doesn't seem that much better...

Lioninthesun · 19/08/2015 17:47

AndDeep have you tried ebay local - sometimes they have sets around here that you can collect? Ebay local site I find if you search 'kids' or 'toys' you can get a different set of results, so worth trying anything you are interested in. I get a bit addicted to it Blush

AndDeepBreath · 19/08/2015 17:48

Lion, ooh, no - off to explore now, thanks! Smile

supermariossister · 19/08/2015 17:50

Eagles ds had some but the sports direct alternative think they were called sidewalk. have to be honest he only used them a handful of times didn't like them but they sold really well after for not far off what we paid. they were 29.99

EaglesNest · 19/08/2015 18:06

Thanks super

Just had a look on Sport direct and they didn't have a lot for girls Sad

I don't really want to get then as I had their main presents sorted. And I think these will just be a flash in the pan.

But it's the one thing she keeps on about.

SideOrderofChips · 19/08/2015 18:28
