candykane25 Thank you for the Plant-n-Play bargain! I had my eye on that for DS's birthday as I want to get him the Activity Garden for Christmas.

Anyone seen a VTech Kiddizoom camera at a good price?

candykane25 · 15/08/2015 21:42

LikeSilver that makes me feel very happy Smile

ipswichwitch · 15/08/2015 21:47

Ohhelp that's why I've resisted the thorntons chocs so far, because I would scoff the bloody lot! just like the Easter egg I had to replace 3 times
Seriously tempting with the voucher code though....

ipswichwitch · 15/08/2015 21:54

Oh bugger it. I've caved and ordered.

badgerknowsbest · 15/08/2015 22:04

Hardtoknow · 15/08/2015 22:06

I'be just bought the pirate ship for DS (perhaps for his birthday next May rather than Christmas!), the lego book for us and then four sets of that Crayola bundle together with 4 activity books from the 4 for £10 deal and that is four presents sorted for parties DD is bound to be invited to :-)

whoneedstosleep · 15/08/2015 22:25

Do you have a link for the Amazon activity books?
I can't seem to get them for £10 on checkout.

Hello! I am joining you all :)

Kids go back to / start school on Wernesday and I need a distraction to stop the emotions so bargain hunting it is.

Am mainly shopping for dd who is 5 in September and Ds who is turning 9 at Xmas. Also got numerous nieces and nephews 2-9y, elderly relatives, Dh and cool single childless friends!

AnOddOod · 15/08/2015 22:29

My mum/dh/dd1 don't need anything specific so I'm going with hamper type things on themes. I've started my mums 'crazy chicken lady one' I'm looking for vaguely useful things so she's got a tea towel, salt & pepper chickens, chicken run the film .
Dh & dd1 similar idea. Dh is film geek, so im thinking marvel.
Dd1 I'm not sure.

Is the castle still a bargain at £22 and would it be suitable for a 3 year old?

OvO- what age are your children who loved the letter stamps? Just deciding if might be nice stocking fillers.

OvO · 15/08/2015 22:52

7 and 10, Methenyou. Xmas Smile

LemonLime11 · 15/08/2015 23:02

Methenyou I would say the Castle was still a good deal at £22, my son has had Imaginext from about 3 and it's grown with him, he's 5 now and it helps with imaginative play :)

Methenyouplus4 · 15/08/2015 23:02

Cheers OvO, just ordered one each for whole family!

Methenyouplus4 · 15/08/2015 23:03

Lemon, bought the castle and chariot for my nephew.

SilverNightFairy · 15/08/2015 23:08

It's going to be a Minion Hannuka/Christmas for my youngest did. Def going to be checking her for bargains! Thanks to you all.

Methenyouplus4 · 15/08/2015 23:09

Just curious, how do others approach their bargain hunting? For example, only one brother, normally we both spend £50 on each other's children (don't buy each other); I have bought castle and chariot mentioned above which should be over that at usual price. However, should I feel bad if I don't actually spend the full £50 due to reductions? Usually bargain hunt but then feel bad about spending less so I still spend £50 and they get lots for it. This year money is really really tight (have tried suggesting spending less in past, brother always agrees but then still gets lavish gifts so I end up feeling bad). Thinking this year I may just use usual price as my basis and get castke/ chariot and that's it...or is that mean spirited? I actually will be spending more on son's kids than our youngest as they will be mostly getting charity shop/second hand!

Methenyouplus4 · 15/08/2015 23:10

Not being mean to our youngest, just that they're little so will be oblivious that something isn't brand new whereas older two would notice.

Oh help, you're right. We aren't having holidays etc this year as skint so seems daft to spend all year spreading cost and hunting out bargains to spend the same.
