AIBU to wish it was Christmas now?!

I am SO not brave enough to actually post this in aibu but I really do wish it was... I mean at least late September! The cold crispness of everything, the fleecy pajamas and bed covers, not listening to half the street chattering because we need the window open

I want to be thinking of presents, and Christmas food, and WRAPPING - and Christmas songs, and winter walks, and dark nights, and darker mornings, and pajama days

I vow to have a real roaring fire this time by 2016! (not this time....Christmas time obvs)

Anybody else??

Saaaame made all the more exciting that ill be starting mat leave on 14th dec so can cosy up with heart warming movies and hot chocolate and enjoy it all!! I've started christmas shopping

Well it does sound lovely but I quite like the nice warm weather and blue skies and sunshine. Will be nice to not have to faff around with bloody God-awful fake tan for my snowy white legs though.

We've got the summer holidays to enjoy, our family holiday and then come September when the kids go back to school, my thoughts will definitely turn to the season of goodwill.

Its too fucking hot and muggy here, im 30 weeks pregnant and at least christmas i will have given birth!!

I've been yearning for autumn/winter too!

Leaf kicking, wellie boots, hats and scarfs, twinkly lights, hot chocolates and lazy, cosy days snuggled up inside!

I'm fed up of being hot and way prefer winter clothes. I've also started my Christmas shopping

Its too fecking hot and muggy right now, i hate summer clothes, i hate summer with a passion. Im hot, sweaty and just want Christmas adverts, Christmas trees and Christmas lights.

My Christmas was, how do I word this and not sound awful/ungrateful? An unfestive but thankful day?

Basically, Christmas Day I was 3 days post emergency c-section. I discharged myself Christmas Eve so that I was at home with my dc, I was in pain, exhausted, my milk came in that morning and in terms of the Christmas I had planned in my head with the Christmas Eve rituals and the morning presents, lunch etc it wasn't how I imagined.

Of course I was incredibly grateful for the check up that I deemed unnecessary and almost skipped in order to do some last minute shopping. For the fabulous NHS staff that not only were working that weekend but the one that had actually finished her shift but stayed throughout theatre etc with me and of course the fact that the skilled surgeons had my (slightly prem) baby out in under 15 minutes from the problem being detected.

I've spent the last few months in a turmoil, wishing it was Christmas again but at the same time trying to hold off DD's first birthday lol

wow I think you deserve a fabulous celebration this Christmas Ekkwhine! l love Christmas, always hard financially (the whole season - big fuel bills and tax bill) but somehow the boys get what they want and we eat well. every year I worry and every year its fine. must stop worrying!!

I'm looking forward to late October. That is when I really start ramping up my planning. After DD's birthday next week I shall empty my present cupboard and turn my attention to hoarding for Christmas. I can't wish the summer away though - I'm a teacher and I've got so, so much work to do before the end of the holidays!

My favourite months are November to February. I love the run up to Christmas as much as christmas itself. The dark evenings and the crisp winter mornings.

YANBU in the slightest! I fucking hate Summer. It's so boring. I hate sunshine. I hate the clothes. I hate everyone wanting me to go outside! Give me fireplaces, twinkly lights, cosy blankets and twiggy shit! Curling up with my cats and a hot chocolate and admiring my wintry decor...and wearing scarves and massive jumpers and boots...baking and eating delicious warming food...stuff all this ice-cream and Pimms crap

I've just moved house too, and for the first time in my own home I have a mantelpiece. I am ridiculously excited to decorate this!!

After dd's birthday next week, I am free to think of Christmas. Have already had our summer holidays, so I can do it guilt free. Autumn is my favourite time of year when it starts to get colder and I can fill the kitchen with Christmas smells.

I am soo looking forward to it this year.

Summer is just not happening here - not really warm, lots of rain, and we're all working too hard (none of which are particularly unusual but it feels worse somehow this year).

So the Christmas season, with all the magic it brings, and the hot chocolate or mulled wine to recover from wind and rain, cosy fires, and fun in between the mayhem, oooooh, I am looking forward to that.

Although, our Christmas baby will turn 10 - 10!!! - on Boxing Day. How the heck did that happen so fast??!!

I've always waited until the last Adc's birthday before thinking of Christmas but given that I now have a 22/12 I don't think I can use that one as an excuse lol

Ooooh the fireplace, it's not real, but one of those flans effect ones. It'll be fine though, I'm thinking jugs of holly etc on the hearth, a bowl of fairy lights, a garland hanging and some small, old fashioned toys on the mantle.

Thought of another one! I love to watch YouTube videos about DIYs and home decor etc and my absolute favourites are the ones that are a tour of the Christmas decorations in that vlogger's house. Especially great big American houses with twelve-foot Christmas trees At this time of year it's all 'My beach essentials' and I just can't be arsed to even watched them.
