It's the hormones.

expatinscotland · 13/11/2006 12:49

you're pregnant.

JackieNo · 13/11/2006 12:49

But they are surprisingly lovely.

AitchTwoOh · 13/11/2006 12:50

hormones. although the mum and baby one is surprisingly affecting even to an aging old crone like me.

DizzyBint · 13/11/2006 12:51

but i'm not even a bit old..i'm only just 26..oh dear..

LadyTophamHatt · 13/11/2006 12:58

So...I'm not boring then.

They are lovely, aren't they.

I'dlove it if DH went a bought the baby one without any promting from me. Infact I'd proabaly burst into tears.
Just as well he won't then isn't it? I'll probably go and get it myslef and wrap it up for myself from him

I have four of those on my living room mantlepiece

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 13/11/2006 13:03

my husband did buy me the baby one without any prompting, that was my first one

LadyTophamHatt · 13/11/2006 13:04

I have to say, this present is 100000000% better than the idea I had before.

My mum is a slave to her tumble dryer and I was going to get some tumble dryer balls from lakeland for her!!!!!!!!

Which ones greeny?

Mum and baby one
Dad and mum with baby
Two little boys together
Mum with one boy in lap and one standing up.

I adore them

bubblerock · 13/11/2006 13:08

We were given one by my aunt and it's lovely - it's one with two boys called 'Brothers' as I have two sons it was a perfect gift. I'm only 30 and hate trinkets/collectible crap usually

LadyTophamHatt · 13/11/2006 13:18

and because they not porceline they are perfect for my house too.

It would last 5 minutes on my mantlepiece if it was.

NomDePlume · 13/11/2006 13:21

Nemo1977 · 13/11/2006 13:28

LTH when pg with DD DH bought me a lovely one called cherish and also have one called angel of the heart to represent the miscarriages we have had..

sandcastles · 13/11/2006 13:35

I like these, dd got Guardian Angel for her christening.

moondog · 13/11/2006 13:37

They are fucking hideous.
Naff mass produced crap that has about as much meaning as an empty Wotsits back.

Oh and btw,I have the 'mother to be' one, given to me by my aunt when I was pregnant.

Bizarrely,I find it rather touching despite it encapsulating everything I loathe.
