I've been perusing the John Lewis site (they have their 2015 decorations online but it is all still showing as "Out of Stock" so I'm waiting patiently Xmas Wink) there are some decorations I really covet.

oooh I'm beyond Xmas Angry

Yesterday we watched dinnerladies the Christmas one where they put up the tree. So tonight should've been the Christmas Eve episode (my favourite).
But no.................they've bodyswerved the Christmas Eve and the 'Minellium' episode to put the 'Christine' one on (which is my unfavourite one)

Apologies 70. Christmas is closer than I thoughtGrin.

Results day 1 ended up well thank you. School admin error caused some extra anxiety, but young constantly is now choosing between alternative course at first choice and first choice course at alternative uni. Both courses and universities are good, so I can relax ( at least until Wednesday)Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/08/2015 20:34
Smile

Good to hear a good result but difficult choices WRT to Uni/Courses. (I'd think the course he wants to do is more important than the place to do it)

Fingers crossed for the next lot of results.

Definite Autumn air in the shops now. The AW clothes, boots, scarves,

Not long now till the Hallowe'en stock comes in, then the Christmas stock.

And I haven't even been on holiday yet !

Thank you for the good wishes 70. I agree with you re university/ course choice but am leaving decision to DS!
On more Christmassy note I have bought some nice scarves in the Debenhams' winter sale.

ConstantlyCooking · 18/08/2015 00:03

127!
And just heard that young constantly has had offer for first choice course from first choice uni!
New traditions will include collecting DS at the end of term.

onehellofaride · 18/08/2015 20:46

Congrats to young Constantly! I hope he is happy there (and new traditions may also include having his room done up with festive bedding as it will be a surprise?!)

Played a bit of Merry Christmas Radio last week while cleaning (and cleaning, and cleaning, and dumping, and tidying, and sorting, and recycling, and charity shopping, .....I got rid of LOADS!!!!!).

This week, I re-did my lists, as many of the more "annual cleaning and maintenance jobs" have now been ticked off. Things like checking smoke alarm batteries, dusting behind certain radiators, cleaning washing machine and tumble dryer filters...so they don't need to stay on my lists. Those lists are long and complicated enough!!

Still haven't got DH or DD to talk to me properly about what they DO want to do. All I know is if I want to go to a carol/music performance, I am on my own Sad.

Oh well, if things are booked out, tough on them!
