Brace yourselves and form an orderly queue.

XMas clock.com says 357 (plus 14 hours)

Happy New Year to one and all. Hope 2015 is a good one Smile

I've started. This is officially the earliest I have ever started planning Christmas! I usually start in July. Spreading the cost is brilliant and makes the run up south easier. Anyway, I've bought a Christmas craft set which was on sale in Argos. I've also started my lists Blush

MTWTFSS · 21/06/2015 17:55

I am ready to start planning for Christmas now Grin Can't wait :)

Ratbagcatbag · 21/06/2015 21:01

How rude. This thread has stopped appearing on my I'm on threads.

Hopefully this pointless comment means it will reappear. Xmas Grin

Hellloooo!!

Still on this planet (although I wondered had I woken in an alternative universe at 5am on Saturday morning - mixture of wind through trees, HEFTY dawn chorus of birds, and lots of Cubs already awake and chasing each other round the campsite!).

I put a couple of things into my cart last night on Mountain Warehouse site, to actually buy tonight. Some of which are Christmas related.

Having unpacked and done most laundry already last night, tonight is about putting away the camping gear and getting the house ship-shape again tonight. Then, I can start craft work.

I also want to get a few things organized to take with me for next week - I have a 3 day business trip and expect to have a couple of quiet nights, so some knitting or sewing or Xstitch would be good while watching BBC World (not a lot of choice where I am going). Actually, must check if there's wifi, and if Netflix will work there.

Will bring my list too - and am going to transfer a lot of stuff to my new Mac airbook, so I can plan at home now. I may even start a file for all addresses etc to finally be able to print them out on labels!

Rat Surely the MN algorithms can be rewritten so that Christmas planning stays active!!

Loki It's never too early to start, and spreading the cost truly is great. Have you checked out the Christmas Bargain threads too? There are usually great things found by those ladies for just buttons!

Happy Birthday Holly!

Rudolph day today too.

I am making "The Challenge" (biscuit base, caramelised condensed milk, Malteasers in the caramel, melted Mars Bars on top.) for DD birthday (she has a cake for the candles)

Just looked for the Malteasers..........................empty bag in DS bin.

I know I should've put them in the kitchen (hidden) , the pantry is an 'open house' so he saw them and thought " Mmm, they have my name on them nomnom ."

Need to traipse to shops..................................

I have a DD born on the 16th of June....called HOLLY!!

OrnamentalAsAnything · 26/06/2015 18:30

Did you both call your DDs Holly because you are Xmas obsessed?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/06/2015 20:10
Grin

My DD was called Holly in a flash of inspiration. I was relaxing lardily on the sofa reading the Sainsbury's magazine. There was a little black/white cat in the Pet section, called 'Holly'
I liked the name written down.
DH had suggested Natasha and Katherine as names but agreed that Holly was lovely.

She was meant to arrive on the 22nd, she just waited till the 25th .

into the one hundred and seventies.

DH is whittering on about mowing the lawn and buying suncream for our holiday (August)

I'm fondly tending my Hallowe'en pumpkins.

He needs told really, good job he doesn't mind QVC Christmas in July, he just quietly hides the TV remote and credit card

That was very good of her to wait! What a lovely birthday!
Ah, damn, I meant to attempt growing pumpkins for this year.

This is my second year trying to grow the pumpkins (last time was from seed they didn't even germinate) . This year I bought four from Aldi (at Easter). DH is all "Hallowe'en is one day "
but it's on a Saturday this year Grin and my DC are getting too old to care , so I have very few Hallowe'en years left.

I bought small pumpkins last year. This year, I want my own. Smile
