Yes!!!

EdSheeransGString · 24/12/2014 17:41

Yes we did, dd1 (5) nearly burst with excitement

It was lovely Smile

Iwantacampervan · 24/12/2014 17:42

Yes - very clearly. I was excited - not sure about DDs (13 &15) but they came out to watch to humour me.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/12/2014 17:42

Yes we did! We're under a flight path though so took a few seconds to register Wink

EElisavetaofJingleBellsornia · 24/12/2014 17:43

Just got back, very excited DCs Smile

utahforever · 24/12/2014 17:43

Yes we did amid much excitement - Christmas has now started Smile

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 24/12/2014 17:45

Yes same as you OP. Looked at phone at 17.22 and rushed boys out and caught it. DS1(9) murmured something about it looking very like the ISS but i shushed him and said everything looks the same so far away Grin hope i got away with it!

Nervo · 24/12/2014 17:45

Yes, we saw it.

Were we the only ones who saw two?

Maybe I've had too many g&T's.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 24/12/2014 17:47

Yayyyy! DS(8) is beside himself. Many thanks to whoever it was reminded us all this morning.

SisterMoonshine · 24/12/2014 17:48

Just wow!
I was expecting it to look just like when you usually see a satellite - but that was special.
DD thinks she heard him shout "On Dasher!" and bells

TheWordFactory · 24/12/2014 17:48

We think so! Certainly my nieces (6 and 3) are certain Grin.

pieceofpurplesky · 24/12/2014 17:49

Yes .., I think I was more excited than ten year old DS though!

RandomHouseRules · 24/12/2014 17:51

We did! Over the rooftops of London. Kids are now very excited indeed!

CherryLips1980 · 24/12/2014 17:52

I missed it :(

unclerory · 24/12/2014 17:52

We saw it, it was much higher in the sky than I was expecting and was very exciting! The DDs were hanging out of the bedroom window and there was much discussion about where he was going.

Ujjayi · 24/12/2014 17:56

CherryLips - you can see it again at 1858 apparently so still time!

Aww so glad so many people spotted it. It's such a clear night but I wasn't expecting it to be so obvious.

aurorasky · 24/12/2014 17:59

Yes, my nearly 3 year old was waving 'hello Santa'. My eyes leaked a bit. Hope the sky stays clear for 7pm.

SantasSparklySack · 24/12/2014 17:59

Have I missed something? do tell!!

dingit · 24/12/2014 18:00

We saw it here too. Beautiful clear sky tonight. Me more exited than the dc ( teens)

BrightestAndBest · 24/12/2014 18:02

Yes. By complete coincidence we left the church after the Christingle service at precisely 17:22. Good timing Xmas Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 24/12/2014 18:04

It was higher than I thought it would be too!

lolalotta · 24/12/2014 18:40

We did toooo!

Stitchosaurus · 24/12/2014 18:48

I kept asking "can you see the reindeer? Can you hear the sleigh bells?" to try and plant the memory for DS Xmas Grin he looked at me as if I was mad! He's 3 and is half excited-half terrified of Father Christmas. Tucked up fast asleep now, god knows what time he'll be up tomorrow!

Timetoask · 24/12/2014 18:51

Please someone explain?

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 24/12/2014 18:53

I did, but I was on my own. Last year I took the DCs out and they just went "yeah Mum, it's the International Space Station" and went back in, we've done it too often at non Christmas times. The very first time we took them out was to see the last ever flight of the Space Shuttle, that was pretty special.
