I want to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible so what can I do Christmas Eve to make cooking on the day less hectic?

Turkey, not gravy in the gravy.

Prep brussel sprouts, carrots.
Make stuffing.
Have ready ingredients for Guinness brown bread to shove in the oven first thing tomorrow (for smoked salmon nibbles for me callers)
Set the table.
Plum pud ready. Mince pies in freezer.

Tomorrow I'll do everything else.

I prep & freeze all my sides & veg a few weeks ahead & then just defrost overnight - except roast potatoes which go straight from freezer to oven. Just the beef & gravy to prep from scratch on the day.

Pudding-wise, pud made stir up sunday & brandy butter made yesterday.

I've done the ham. Made trifle. Prepped potatoes. Will do sprouts, carrots and parsnips later. Prawn thing also made. Stuff Turkey.

I made the celeriac and potato gratin this afternoon and lovely it smells an looks too .

The trifle is made, just needs the cream, meringue and decorations.
I have also made Mud Pie at DS' request. It is setting in the fridge.
Soup is almost done too.

The only thing I make in advance is the cranberry sauce!
