Every year I swear I won't get more than we need and every ruddy year I still end up with a fridge that would require serious ingenuity to get anything more into it. Sad

If something leaks during the night there's going to be a crisis.

We've brought a shelving unit in from the garage. It's standing proud sticking into the middle of the room stacked with cake I bought 'on offer' throughout the autumn. We don't even like cake that much.
I had to feed the children stollen for breakfast.

BrieAndChilli · 24/12/2014 13:05

I have 10 packs of mince pies
I also have a million types of cream and cheese.
I'm also worrying that 10 bottles of wine, 3 small bottles cider, 2 bottles champagne, pack of beer, bottle of baileys, bottle of choc liquer and bottle of lidl baileys won't be enough for 6 adults!!!
I also have 24 cans of coke, bottle Schloer, 2 packs of j20s, bottle ginger ale, bottle lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice, winter berries juice, mango juice as various squashes

HollyJollyXmas · 24/12/2014 16:24

DH popped out for some 'snacks' yesterday and came back with two large carrier bags full of crisps and nuts. I sighed inwardly, as we have Christmas fridge AND Christmas cupboards. There is NO more room at the inn! Grin

RedTinsel · 24/12/2014 16:50

Zebra that sounds amazing. Although it has reminded me that I haven't replaced the After Eights that were accidentally eaten a couple of weeks ago.

TheFourthLobster · 24/12/2014 18:40

Oh bugger, I forgot the brandy butter but am now half way down the first bottle of wine.

KlepTheHallsWithBoughsOfTronic · 24/12/2014 19:03

My fridge is so full I have Christmas shed.

singaporefling · 24/12/2014 21:59

Doh - thought twas just me! Soooo much in Christmas fridge/garage fridge - DS16 has complained the last few nights as I've "cobbled together" such boring/rubbish meals as nobody is allowed to touch ANYTHING nice/special and there isn't anything else Blush

Currently in bed rubbing tummy that contains chocolate & orange cake that was DROWNED in double cream AND Baileys extra thick double cream (think it makes your waist double-thick) Smile

AgathaPinchBottom · 24/12/2014 22:00

Oh klep me too! So glad its not just me with all the christmas lunch propped up against the trowels and hosepipe.

singaporefling · 24/12/2014 22:16

Also have 5 different kinds of chutney/pickle that would need around 10 kilos of cheese to go with it Confused and enough parsnips to feed a small country for several days Smile but no, nothing for actual dinner tonight or last nite Blush

Paperblank · 24/12/2014 22:16

Got one here too. I could probably re-stock Tesco and there's just the two of us!

HungryHorace · 24/12/2014 22:41

Yep, Christmas fridge which required extreme fridge Tetris to get everything in, plus 2 Christmas cupboards. There's only us two really as toddler DD won't eat much of anything and DS isn't even weaned yet!

Yuleloglatte · 24/12/2014 22:46

I had to do an emergency aldi dash for bread and a roast chicken for dinner tonight. Though I have the world's biggest ham baking ( and the worlds biggest turkey in the christmas fridge). Funny thing is I just wasn't to munch lettuce and spinach when the cupboards are burgeoning with rich food.

Takesalongtime · 24/12/2014 22:46

I have 2christmas fridge freezers in my kitchen now- so happy! New 1 came on 23rd, old one on drive but new one didn't work! So brought old one back in too & then dh got new one working! Yey!! 2fridge freezers to fill up :)

Yuleloglatte · 24/12/2014 22:47

And Singapore. I have the cheese to go with your pickle.

tassisssss · 24/12/2014 22:47

mine will be fine once I get the mahoosive turkey out of it

lollygagger · 24/12/2014 22:53

I have fridge jealousy Envy. We are suffering from Christmas fridge but only because it's so poky. A tiny wee thing under the counter with a side freezer with drawers all stuffed to the gills but as yet no room for Prosecco Shock. bubbly will go in once the turkey is on.
I asked santa for a proper (read American style) fridge but it ain't happening as far as I can tell.

cozietoesie · 24/12/2014 23:15

We've been reduced, today, to eating things which will reduce the volume in the fridge - whether we want them or not. I'm currently contemplating whether I ought to have some milky porridge just to get rid of one milk bottle to make room for one bottle of wine. (I forgot about all the various liquids and there's nowhere else safe and cool to put them. Sad)

I'm normally pretty good with the inside of the fridge as well - lots of room to allow things to stay cool and items stored on the right shelves and all.

I have a full size drinks fridge and an extra freezer in the garage, have had these for years. Could not do without them. THey are both full and there are only four of us to feed!

Thisisthelasttime · 24/12/2014 23:35

I'm afraid stuff will fall out of my fridge. A can of come want flying earlier. There's cheesecake, roulade, choc pudding, bacon , sausages, mishroomx , tomatoes, wine, double cream, sour cream, hummus, comes, lettuce, cooked ham , juices, prawns, yoghurts and on and on . We had proper dinner for ham and road ties and veg this eve and I have proper dinners lined up for next few days.

alseb · 24/12/2014 23:35

We have christmas fridge, utility room and garage. I have turned into MIL. Three mornings this week I have been to Asda before 6am as I woke in a panic. We have 15 for CD and BD. I have enough to feed an army. Oh dear what have I done.

Thisisthelasttime · 24/12/2014 23:38

Oh my god my spellings are dreadful , cokes not comes, roasties and not road ties . Too much wine drank now , off to bed . Happy christmas and good night.

nikki1978 · 24/12/2014 23:39

Can of come? Shock

summerdreams · 25/12/2014 00:17

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 25/12/2014 00:26

My lovely MIL and I were crying over this earlier. Christmas fridge, fridge Tetris.... Brilliant!

We have two v v large fridges here (Florida.... one in the kitchen and one in the garage) and they are both stuffed to bursting with 80 types of cheese, 35 different dips, at least six different flavours of juice, zillions of beer and wine bottles and the biggest turkey I have ever seen. We are severely lacking in the cream department though Xmas Sad

DamselNotInHerDress · 25/12/2014 00:48

Holy fuck, this thread had just reminded me that only 1 of the dds has a chocolate Orange in their stockings as I ate the other one and forgot to replace it!!! If I hadn't already braved it to play fc, I'd rummage to find and 'hide' the other one!!
