Dd has just asked FC for a frozen doctors kit. They don't even exist! She also keeps asking for frozen dolls but she never actually plays with barbie type dolls so she won't be getting any...

DD asked for a "large" remote controlled spider 2 years ago, there wasn't such a thing in the shops so she forgot (or so we thought) all about it.

Going past Tiger in Westfield on Friday, all presents bought, what do we see in the window? Fucking huge remote control spider. DD's eyes go like saucers, a new letter to Santa is written... guess who's going to Westfield tomorrow morning ?

Ds2 announced 2 days ago that he wants spokies for his bike and then proceeded to inform our elf just to make sure that FC knows. I mistakenly thought it would be easy and inexpensive to add these to his stocking Sad Thought I'd reserved some in halfords only to get a call from them saying that the computer isn't keeping up with their stock and they don't have any. Dh has been to every shop we can think of that might have them but to no avail Xmas Sad

dd1 wants a snake. A real one.

dd2 wants a scooter thing that isn't going to happen, and a fish in a bowl, which also isn't going to happen,

DD wants a teksta puppy, pumpaloons and aqua beads Hmm

I swear she only ever asks for the shitest of shite stuff, and is heavily influenced by advertising.

Frozen stuff. Anything Frozen. Not buying into all that. They have the film and music.

A baby tiger (apparently Father Christmas can pick one up at the zoo)

An anchor, a real one. I have told DS that it would be too heavy to carry on the sleigh.

jimble pound world have blue reindeer socks with reindeer faces on them.

3yo DS1 informed me he wanted Spider-Man. I questioned him further - did he mean a Spider-Man costume or toy? No. Actual Spider-Man himself.

Thank you for all the suggestions for where to get reindeer socks. Sending the mother in law to sainsburys now. Have tried most of the other places.
Thank you all really appreciate it Smile

DD1 asked for a couple of t-shirts from New Look but they've been out of stock for a while - I got her a NL voucher so she can get them in the new year if they come back in stock.

DD2 asked for a "plankt". She's not getting one as I have absolutely no idea what it is. Google hasn't shed and light on it either

Are you sure she doesn't want a slanket?

Report
Songofsixpence · 23/12/2014 12:32

I asked if she meant blanket or slanket but she's adamant it's 'plankt' and it's an actual thing. It's a mystery. She usually asks for at least one thing that doesn't actually exist every Christmas

I have bought a fleecy blanket for her stocking, here's hoping I've got it right, albeit inadvertently Grin

There's puffy reindeer socks in Primark! In the women's section which will fit a child - hoping so anyway as I got Ds3 a pair and he's 13...

And mil asked DS what he wanted for Christmas. DP and me had our hearts in our mouths but luckily he said exactly what we'd already bought him. Video editing software. Strange child.

Handily, my dcs got the idea in their heads that you just ask Santa for one thing. We write letters at the beginning of December and that's it, Santa's too busy after that to be dealing with children changing their minds Wink Also you know Santa disapproves of requests that are too greedy (eg £300 Lego sets Shock ) and you may ask for something but there's always a chance Santa might have an even better idea Smile (although so far he's always managed the requested item)

Oh and he won't bring you a dog either ds1 Hmm

DD asked for 4 things for months and months unwaveringly... Magiclip dolls, Annabell doll, frozen palace and a Lucy the dog and I got them all...

Today she doesn't want those anymore. She wants a puppy. A real one. We already have a dog... It's not happening!!!

DS2 - a kitten, an Xbox and £100 cash, not happening. Unfortunately the Stampylongnose rucksack and plush toy I ordered at the start of November, which he really, really, really wants, hasn't arrived either (grrr). I'm praying that what I have got him plus an IOU doesn't leave him too disappointed.

DS3 - an octopuss!

HellKitty :
" DS1 wanted a ghost in his Christmas stocking one year. I was up all night with felt making a ghost hand puppet! "

Now THAT's devotion.
I feel ashamed of grumping at mine this morning about 'Christmas' this morning now
"time for sharing, all need to pull weight, and help out, mum 'a person too you know' etc etc - it went totally over their heads, despite much assiduous nodding they went straight back to this week's terrible behaviour)

(to be fair, ds had just taken down the blind in the hallway 'to see how it worked' and lobbed most of his sisters soft toys down 2 floors and they then pretended to be 'housepigs' and tripped me up (I'm on a crutch) twice.

I don't FEEL like sitting up to make a puppet this year, so hat's off to you HellKitty.

I should say, ds is 10 now, so old enough to know better it is wearing a wee bit thin....
