Dd has just asked FC for a frozen doctors kit. They don't even exist! She also keeps asking for frozen dolls but she never actually plays with barbie type dolls so she won't be getting any...

Youngest DD asked for a Monty penguin :( couldn't get one.

She also asked for snow on her letter to Santa! Can't see that happening so I've got lots of paper snowflakes to stick on her bedroom window for when she wakes on Christmas morning!

Strumpers that seems a fair exchange. Would it be too late to add pasha to mine?

My eldest ( 9 ) asked for a real emu Hmm

DD2 (3) - A Frozen scooter. Nope, she got a new scooter last year!
Roller Blades (too little for them).

DD1 (7) - A violin. She hasn't got it because I'd have to pay for lessons and she hasn't got the inclination to learn.
Atmostphere - looks like shit that would last two seconds.
Robo fish - also looks shit.
Robo roller copter - see above

Tbh, I think that they've both forgotten that they asked for all those. They'll be thrilled with what they've got on the day.

Ds2 has asked for 'a plastic suit of armour'. He's not getting it.

Even if I could be bothered scouring incredibly cheap shops for one, it would still be a waste of money.

DS1 wants a PS4... Not going to happen- he has £150 from us and some pressies... He can save up for it/pool his Christmas money.

DS1 has asked The Man for a toy Compsognathus (small scavenger dinosaur) and they pretty much don't exist in toy form - there's an overpriced model available in America but it's not like the rest of his dinosaur figures. We've run through all the more common dinosaurs and now we're onto obscurer ones. Tough. :-(

He also asked FC for a set of skis or snowboard for Teddy. FFS. Guess what I'll be making out of cardboard, then?

Dc have all put in requests for a puppy, a kitten, a rabbit, a pink flying unicorn with a golden mane (!) an iPhone, a night in a really amazing hotel (presumably taken there by the unicorn) and a baby sister.

Just no. To all of them:)

My Dd is 3, and she only asked for a new doll. That was fine. We have got her lots of other things (too many things!) including the Barbie with a pooing dog that she took a liking to in a toy shop. The budget was spent, and I am pleased with all the presents we got, but now she said what she would REALLY like is the Barbie with the weeing cat!

Flippin' Christmas arrrrgh! I get stressed over things like this, but I know from experience with my boys that she won't even remember on a Christmas Day. Roll on Boxing Day :)

On his letter to Santa, DS wrote "Simpsons Lego (already built)".

Not happening. The Simpsons Lego house is over £200! And as for "already built" - Hmm

DS (he's 3) just asked for "a present", which I think I can manage! Grin Every time I ask him what he wants Santa to bring he says the same, and looks at me like I'm daft. I'm sure next year there'll be a big list though...

Ds2 hasn't asked for anything outlandish. Ds1 asked us for money as he's saving to buy a laptop. He won't be getting it. We've bought him the laptop instead Grin Can't wait to see his face!

DD has got everything on the list this year, some years ago when she was small she really wanted this light up art thing that she kept going on and on about, it was the only thing she wanted.
I looked everywhere for this thing, watched hours of crap kids telly to try to work out what it was but couldn't find it anywhere.
In the end after an SAS style interrogation of DD I managed to get her to tell me where she had seen this wonderous toy - her answer?
"in my head mummy, I saw it in my head..."

2.5yo DS has taken Peppa's Christmas a bit literally as he is insisting he gets a train and that 5yo DD gets a yoyo. As we were already planning on getting him a train set and the yoyo cost 50p, we thought we were safe and dry. And then we went on a train. DS now wants a real train... He will be disappointed.
DD is getting the playmobil hotel. She also wants the playmobil aeroplane but we just don't have the room for it (it has a big wing span) so have had several chats about how you can give Santa ideas and he will choose which ones to bring etc so I feel as though I have done sufficient groundwork for her not to be disappointed as she otherwise thinks that Santa can make whatever he likes and has no budget.
