DD 13 hasn't no idea what she wants for Christmas, any ideas?

Money is really short this christmas (unemployed, savings used up), so I'm after ideas for Christmas gifts for dd aged 13. I'm trying to sell some stuff on eBay to finance them. Problem is dd has no idea what she wants. She doesn't really have hobbies, although enjoys reading and playing Minecraft and general computer use. She got a kindle from the family last year. She's not sporty, loves drawing, loves cats .. She already has plenty of make up and we have lots of board games. She has a wii, so I'll try and find a game for that.

I've been looking on freecycle, but there's nothing. I will look in charity shops and on eBay for suitable clothes.

Problem is we are a really small family, only one aunt and otherwise just grandparents, and they have little money, so she will have barely any presents.

Any ideas of fun things I could get her? I've tried searching on Amazon, but don't know what to look for.

Dd is 15

Last year she had an owl handbag & purse which she loved.

She likes perfume, nail varnish. Nice mug & hot chocolate. iTunes voucher. Books (look at the works). Zoella's new toiletries range from Superdrug. Soap & Glory (3 for 2 with free gift bag from Boots) the new Zoella book (Girl Online)

Picturesinthefirelight · 28/11/2014 22:40

I think it might be Store 21 that had some cheap owl clocks/dressing table items that dd took a liking too. Also slipper socks.

alseb · 28/11/2014 22:51

Wilko has some good gift stationery/drawing stuff! Also, I have made a couple of purchases of previously loved goods from Gumtree this year at a fraction of the normal cost.

nippysweetie82 · 28/11/2014 22:54

My 13 year old likes the Jack Wills book bags priced at £12.50, lush bath bombs, soap & glory starting at £5 for gift sets. She also likes the glass painting sets from home bargains. She paints them and decorates them with ribbons to store her make up brushes. Debenhams are doing a Benefit skincare set for £13.50 or the Simple skincare sets seem to be popular just now.

My daughter is 13 and she was given a couple of canvases from the works and some acrylics which she loved. That could be quite a cheap option.

i got Wii Lego Lord of The Rings for same age dd on ebay for about a fiver.
It's supposed to be a great game, tricky cos there aren't many games for the original wii anymore. Am hoping it will reignite interest in the thing!

oh op, i have another wii game, that dd hasn't played, pm me and i will give you details. it's yours if you like xx

Pictures dd is a big Zoella fan and bought herself the bath fizz recently. Are there other toiletries in the range?

My 13yo is getting some cheap stationery stuff. I try to pick up pretty but reduced stuff all year but didnt do too well this year. I pop into Homebargains, The Works and the reduced aisle of supermarkets.

Other bits include:
slippers
Onesie (some cheap in New Look and Tesco atm)
Nail polish
gloves and hat (Primark)
small fox handbag from Amazon for £6.50ish
Novelty phone case
bows for hair (Primark)
Body shop smellies
Decoupage stuff (mainly from The Works)
Costa Coffee Gift Card
Novelty mug filled with sachets of hot choc and mini marshmallows. I will also get in a bottle of squirty cream for Xmas.
Posh shampoo and Conditioner(homebargains) with a primark hairbrush - tied together with ribbon to look more gifty.

Also - if you have an Avon lady get the latest book. There was a sale book and I ordered loads of their TeenRange of reduced makeup as well as lots of other smellies etc. Lots of free gifts to be had if you order over £10/3 items in certain pages etc.

Thanks Alseb, I'll have a look on gumtree too.

Not heard of some of the stores mentioned here, so will take a look Smile

I'll try to get to B&M bargains tomorrow, I like the idea of glass painting and also a mug with hot chocolate, she'll love that Smile

I meant Home Bargains, although I'll also look at B&M Bargains.

I don't have an avon lady Sad Is it the current brochure? How do I find out if there's one nearby?

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/11/2014 23:59

You can order Avon online, if you register with topcashback you might find some cashback on it too.

imalostcause · 29/11/2014 00:51

Thanks, just registered on Topcashback Smile

If she's into painting you can get canvases in the pound shop and great craft bits and bobs.
Definitely b&m and home bargains would also be good.

At 13 lots of little things would be better than a big present like when they are younger,

minkymuskyslyoldstoaty · 29/11/2014 07:06

primark for cute pajamas.
comfy throw for her bed?
they had nice ugg type boots for £4 in there which me and dd wear as slippers.
