How many people do you buy for?

WipsGlitter · 24/11/2014 17:41

I've seen lots if threads about people with huge lists to buy for and was wondering what was the 'norm'. Aside from santa for the kids I get:

My mum
My sister - £10 limit
My bil - £10 limit
Three nieces
One nephew
DP
Secret Santa for DP's side of the family
Work secret Santa
One friend - maybe she lives abroad so I have to be organised!

DP gets his dad and the family secret Santa ( he will spend more on his dad than mine combined!)

I refuse to do office secret santa (we're all employed adults with enough stuff) and I'm not buying my sister presents anymore.

WipsGlitter · 24/11/2014 18:04

Double OMG curious that's loaves and loads. Are you sure they all still want to do presents??

curiousgeorgie · 24/11/2014 18:08

Well, last year I didn't buy for a few of the adults and they bought for us, and we had to have a mad Sainsbury's dash on Christmas Eve to rectify it!

Actually, I didn't include DD's nursery teachers. But there are 4 of them... Do I buy for all 4?

I never realised. I thought I had a small list.

In fairness the children all get presents under £5, usually in sales, that I buy throughout the year.

I save with Park, I use vouchers for the rest and tend to do the Boots 3 for 2 offer for my friends.

My 2kids and parents.

There is a perk to not having many friends Grin and far to many nieces and nephews that it would be just stress for all

Chennai · 24/11/2014 18:39

I've got an agreement with most friends that we won't do Christmas presents, especially as the children are pretty much grown up now, so:

DH
DC1
DC2
My mum
My dad
SIL/BIL (joint present)
Niece
Best friend
Goddaughter

That's 10 and feels like plenty! They're all people I love choosing presents for, though.
