Hats off to you methen I had a four year old, a 16 month old and then welcomed twin girls. I have barely left the house in the last two years, let alone tried getting Christmas bargains with the kids in tow. I really admire your dedication to a bargain Xmas Grin hope you get a chance to go back and get the bits you wanted in peace x

Congrats eastmids on your lovely new baby!

greeneyed and eastmids
I received my Olaf this morning (the last day they quoted that it would arrive by which is exactly a month since ordering). It's tiny, nothing like the huge 'warm huggable' Olaf they show in the pic ALONG with the words 10" 25cm!!

Ive emailed them asking for a refund due to false advertising and gross misrepresentation, so I'll report back with any responses (but looks like I'll prob not get any)!

The toy itself, whilst much smaller, is fine and has disney tags on etc. and will make a great stocking filler.

divabroad · 25/11/2014 14:26

AshVegas, is there minimum spend of Selfridges code? TIA

AshVegas · 25/11/2014 14:29

Divabnot as far as I'm aware! But it doesn't work on all items, I think alcohol is exempt from promotion Sad

Prizepudding · 25/11/2014 14:36

Was in poundworld today and they had frozen chocolate eggs with toys inside (like a kinder egg), unfortunately all remaining ones were bashed so never bought any. Hmv were also selling the same thing but in 3 packs for £2.99. Went into poundland and they had loads of frozen things including nail stickers and stick on earrings.

Has anyone ever bought or been given a world scratch map? I'm thinking of getting one of these for my dad however wondered if it's worth getting or not.

GreenEyedMonster14 · 25/11/2014 14:42

Pamela, glad your Olaf finally came. And good luck with the refund. It's sounds as though you'll need it!

I'm really trying hard not to buy the gap hoodies. DC really don't need them......

But they'll look so cute in matching ones (they're 3 and 1).... And £10 is such a bargain.... HmmConfused

IHeartKingThistle · 25/11/2014 14:46

prize we have a scratch map and we like it, though we haven't bothered scratching most of it and like a poster it is prone to tatty corners - it is thicker than a poster though. Think they do a globe shaped one now.

wineoclocktimeye · 25/11/2014 14:47

Sainsburys currently have 2 x £15 iTunes vouchers for £25. On until 9th December

RiverRocks · 25/11/2014 14:47

Pamela, I've received my Olaf as well, he is also tiny.

I emailed the seller, and they have asked me to send a picture to show it is not the correct size Xmas Hmm. I will let you know their reply.

GreenEyedMonster14 · 25/11/2014 14:48

Galaxymum · 25/11/2014 14:49

I bought a cardigan for £18 in M&S and got a voucher for a free breakfast if you buy a hot drink. Quite a nice treat for next week after I get paid!!!

GreenEyedMonster14 · 25/11/2014 14:59

Ignore my last post. Read the email wrong. Blush

divabroad · 25/11/2014 15:33

AshVegas, Im tried on Lindt chocolates and Jo Malone cracker set, but not taking discount off. May be not one Jo Malone product. Thanks anyway;)

iloveholidays · 25/11/2014 15:46

DrankSangriaInThePark · 25/11/2014 15:55

This has probably already been linked to, but I just did one....a 10 x 8 print which should be £15 for p and p only on Snapfish.

www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-10x8-photo-panel-worth-14-99-just-pay-1-99-postage-snapfish-uk-2060745

I did one of these last year (paid about £8 for the smaller one) and they are really nice.

iloveholidays · 25/11/2014 15:59

Thanks Sangria. I had some professional photos taken of my DDs last Saturday which I should get this weekend. surprise for DP so would be lovely to get one printed Smile

Thank you.

sweetkitty · 25/11/2014 16:07

Been out RL shopping today buying bits and bobs, went to Poundland and Poundworld, both had lots of Frozen stuff left, none of mine are into it, DD3 was for a little bit but is now all MLP. We already have 2 toddler dolls, 2 soft plush dolls and two Barbie dolls think that's enough Frozen.

DD1 is into monster High, DD2 dinosaurs and Minecraft and DS anything with wheels.

B&M did have Frozen ride one which would be a fab present for a 1-2 year old girl.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 25/11/2014 16:28

Thanks sangria just ordered one of photos

Rhinopotamus · 25/11/2014 16:32

Thanks for the snapfish offer. I bought the photo panels last year for grandparents and they are lovely.

I found the sainsburys double up very complicated too. Lots of exclusions and a huge queue as everyone was thoroughly confused! I only had £20 worth of points so I just got two presents.

I bought DH a scratch map last Christmas. It's still in the tube. I think they're lovely if you travel a lot, but that's not us at the moment!

WUME · 25/11/2014 16:51

Can anyone link to the £10 Gap hoodys, I can't see any that cheap

summersanta · 25/11/2014 16:58

Been to Home Bargains for hampers today but nothing, any ideas of anywhere else, online or real life?

Shedwood · 25/11/2014 17:06

Can I just say thank you sooo much for the GAP hoodie heads-up I combined it with a 15% new customer discount and 7% cash back from quidco which makes each one about £8!

Six tricky-to-buy for Tweens are now sorted!

Elvish · 25/11/2014 17:10

Thanks for the Snapfish link, ordered a photo panel rather than a print I was going to buy to frame. Great bargain! Going to try again from another email address...

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 25/11/2014 17:12

Elvish that's my plan later if I can keep eyes open :)
