I managed to resist the marble run as we already have one - hours of Christmas fun for everyone (I think my FIL enjoyed building as much as the kids!)

mammmamia · 23/11/2014 09:12

Thanks, I have just bought the marble run as well (twitch twitch) for DS and the hello kitty aquadoodle for toddler niece

How does Amazon Local work? Never used it but interested in the Patisserie Valerie deal Smile

I bought Gator Goal for football mad 3 yo nephew from Smyths for £13.99. Think that's the cheapest I've seen it by at least £5

Honeydragon · 23/11/2014 09:12

Merry Shoppmas.

I've stayed away this year as storage and work commitments meant I couldn't do my usual bargain starting Sad

Sorry I haven't made an contributions but I'm here to try and share the joy now.

Xmas Grin
marne2 · 23/11/2014 09:18

Thank you Mipe, just ordered the mug cake book, several kids sewing kits, sock monkey kits and a art kit ( sketch book, pencils and water colours ) and all came to £15 Grin

marmalade32 · 23/11/2014 09:20

Bit late here - but on flicking throughthe thread I bought some craft packs from Costco last year. Still enough for this year in them. Card making.
Also got some from TK Maxx. You need to rummage there obviously but v cheap.

andadietcoke · 23/11/2014 09:21

The Playmobil 123 ark is back down to £15.93 on Amazon. Just need the take along doll house now!

GreenEyedMonster14 · 23/11/2014 09:21

Elsa and anna sparkle dolls only £14.44 on amazon!

Dreamstosell · 23/11/2014 09:27

Someone in the last thread was looking for a Monty and Mabel mug. John Lewis has them in stock this morning. Unfortunately no penquins.

Methenyouplus4 · 23/11/2014 09:40

Does the gap code work on sale/ outlet stuff? If so, I'd love it as outlet near me has 40% off already.

With doubling nectar points, I just need to go to customer services with the card don't I? There's nothing to print etc beforehand?

Finally, with lightening deal, if I put it in basket, does the seller have to be Amazon? Am confused as sometimes have a range of prices/ sellers.

Prizepudding · 23/11/2014 10:10

Double nectar points, you go to customer services with your card and specify what vouchers you want as you have to specify amount of points for each department. I think it's best to do your shopping first then work out what vouchers to get as I was going to get one for toys but they didn't have the things I wanted.

Methenyouplus4 · 23/11/2014 10:20

Brilliant, thank you. Think I'll wait until tomorrow as always heaving on a Sunday.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 23/11/2014 10:45

Thanks Linzer but I paid it last night... I really do grudge paying for postage Xmas Blush.

The RJ confusion is confusing!

wibblyjelly · 23/11/2014 10:51

Thank you for the tip about the nectar points. Double vouchers for toys, wine, homeware and clothes. Also got a double point voucher for next shop, which as i went to customer service first, means i can use it on this one, and 400 bonus points when i spend £10 on toys (easily done today) Grin

Rugbylovingmum · 23/11/2014 11:20

I'm really struggling with gift ideas for my dad and have decided to put together a dvd, book and fav sweets parcel. I'm not sure which dvd to include but was considering The Sopranos boxset - I didn't watch it but loads of people have recommended it. Did any of you watch it and is it a 'dad' program? If so, has anyone seen a good deal for the boxset?

sproingle · 23/11/2014 11:45

Charles Trywhitt orders - I got this reply a few hours after my second order, despite changing the name and email address to another member of my household so I think it can only be used once!

"The offer you’ve used is designed to be used only by the customer to whom it is sent, and only once per household as specified in the terms and conditions.

We are happy to despatch the first order placed, but as you have made more than one order, we have taken the step of cancelling any duplicate orders in line with the terms and conditions as set out on the website. Rest assured that you have not been charged for the transaction.

Just so nobody else does a second.

imip · 23/11/2014 11:48

I hope this works!

To the person who was looking for craft ideas to make cards for teachers, this is something we have made before. It's a pintrest link to her youtube video. This lady is ace! If the link doesn't work google Rie Elise Larsen. We've made these Christmas cards before with paper and tape from ikea.

afreshstart I was looking at the teksta puppy and Dino, but ended up getting a few dinosaur train Dino's from amazon instead - it's a show on Netflix dd is obsessed with. they are much cheaper and interact with each other.
just in case you hadn't heard of them xx

Methenyouplus4 · 23/11/2014 12:06

Got some fair isle style PJs (not matching) for 10 yr old&20 month old at primary for crimbo eve, looking for a cheap fair isle sleep suit no for twins (3-6 months). Cheapest I found was £12 each but was hoping for more like a fiver! Please let me know if you spot any.

Methenyouplus4 · 23/11/2014 12:08

Also, I have things in basket for lightening Amazon deals, do I just click checkout at specified time and price will automatically be adjusted to whatever lower cost is?

BuddyKringleberry · 23/11/2014 12:16

methenyou might be worth a look in the next clearance online. There were lots of little Christmassy items on there last time I looked x

Blondieminx · 23/11/2014 12:25

Re patisserie Valerie deal I signed into normal Amazon, was browsing lightening deals and the local deals were shown in the middle of the page?

This was on my laptop so may not show in the app...

daddykyller · 23/11/2014 12:30

Deal of the Day on amazon: Up to 50% Off Barbie Dolls & Playsets

Methenyouplus4 · 23/11/2014 12:32

Thanks Buddy, just checked Next out, they had silly Christmas things (elf , Santa etc) but no fair isle. Sad

SmileAndNod · 23/11/2014 12:35

Yes you purchase through Amazon in the normal way and then you get a voucher to print and take in. It says you can choose a festive hot drink, or just a non festive regular drink if you prefer.

We actually pinned our wreath to the inside of our front door and hung the ribbon (long) over the top of the door. Was amazed it stayed up all month. A complete bargain at the price.

Have nearly finished our shopping for the children, just need ideas to give to others now. Finding 4yo DD particularly tricky...

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 23/11/2014 13:04

Ds2 had a tantrum in Lidl because I refused to buy the talking Santa cookie jar. Only gritted teeth and this thread kept me going!
