What are you wrapping the presents in this year?

I am going modern traditional
If that makes sense. North Pole Elf style. It is also quite bargainous. I have red and white shiny candy cane stripe paper from Primark. I have also got red and white Nutcracker soldier print paper from ikea. I got the elf mail cotton sacks from Poundland too.
I was thinking of using jingle bells as an ornament when tying the ribbon but I am worried my DD might accidentally swallow one so maybe I'll use actual candy canes instead.
I am using a mix of red, white and green ribbon.
I have leftover tartan paper from last year for when I run out!

I think that sounds fab. I have a range of frozen, peppa pig and santa paper this year. Complete mismash but dd aged 3 will love it.

I am hoping to find some quality wrapping paper this year. Not the thin stuff but the stuff that comes in sheets, but in a roll IYSWIM.

Did the see-through star film from Phoenix last year. Was lovely but my local dealer has been taken off the streets.

I'm doing tartan this year (a way to hit the trend without wearing it, as every bugger is clad in tartan scarves, it seems!). So - red tartan wrap from Waitrose, with green ribbons, I think.

I saw some red and white stamp effect on plain parcel coloured paper in Waitrose I think. I might go back for that.

DD will probably have some monstrosity to make it more fun though.

Last year I used plain packing appear and then used thick tartan ribbon and matching tags to make them look special. I bought gold and silver pens to write then tags. The paper was so cheap for a huge roll and I got lots of compliments about the wrapping. I might do the same thing this year but choose a different theme rather than using tartan again.

I used plain parcel paper last year, with candy canes tied to the ribbon.
This year I'm using the leftovers to make tags, I've got some stamps to address them. The wrapping paper has cream and gold written music on it, with red ribbon & bows.

Wrapping mine in paperchase wrapping paper. Just checked labels and they are called Kraft trees and Scandi decs.

Then going to put some thick red or green ribbon that I got from my local fabric shop on top, tied in a bow and attaching labels that DD1 helped me make.

I make my gift tags in January every year when I take the christmas cards down. I just cut out the best pictures and slogans.
I end up with really lovely large sparkly tags that don't cost me anything.
In the past I have bought those mini baubles and tied them to the ribbon but I think that might be old hat now.

I am going for that too but in the white and gold with matching gift boxes as the FC presents for older DD, younger I am going with the father C from ikea, some lolvey 70's style prints this year

I have brown craft bags that will be folded over, a white paper doily folded over that, all held in place by a small red wooden peg with a little Santa on it

I use brown paper decorated in a different way every year, my family think I'm daft but crafty

I adore brown paper as a base to do stuff with.

Forget to say that foxes are usually crafty

Wow very creative mine are wrapped in bog standard cheap mix match paper from likes of card factory.

But I do this because I remember when DD was young the ex and his parents use to wrap her huge mass of presents so beautifully and in expensive paper (it was all for show) and gifts where usually tatty crap.

You can do so many different things with plain brown paper, it's my little christmas challenge to come up with something new every year!

I am using brown paper with red and white twine,tissue paper with snowflakes and twine,and this chalkboard paper i found on talking tables,with bright green ribbon.

am going to get the kids to use potatoes to print on the wrapping paper for the presents they are going to give.

Brown paper which we stamped ( potatoes&cookiecutters) with stars and angels in silver and white. For kids &smaller pressies brown paper with red dots. Green&white and red&white string as ribbon with old fashioned mail tags.

Random brightly coloured paper, a bit like our Christmas tree. I don't really like themed wrapping.

Newspapers with watermelon slices for gift tags.

Brown paper for some with Xmas tape and stamps saying 'do not open until 25th'. Others in red and white Nordic paper with candy canes attached to red luggage labels.

Stocking presents wrapped in paper I have yet to buy but hopefully different ones for dd and Ds so I don't need to label them. Usually buy tacky paper for stockings because they know I am quite anal particular about wrapping paper being stylish (IMO) normally!!

Saying that, I don't have a theme, I just love really pretty looking presents under the tree, alongside the gaudy wrapping i also use.

This year I've gone with brown paper like so many of you. I bought a wide white ribbon with red polka dots and have got some little jingle bells (OP it probably is old hat but I haven't done it yet!). I've also bought some red wax disc stickers for decoration, though probably not on the presents that have jingle bells on them.

I won't do all of them in brown paper, just some of the grown ups presents.

damsel as your a wrapping fan, when do you put presents out? when DC in bed? well before xmas to enjoy your art work?
