What are you wrapping the presents in this year?

I am going modern traditional
If that makes sense. North Pole Elf style. It is also quite bargainous. I have red and white shiny candy cane stripe paper from Primark. I have also got red and white Nutcracker soldier print paper from ikea. I got the elf mail cotton sacks from Poundland too.
I was thinking of using jingle bells as an ornament when tying the ribbon but I am worried my DD might accidentally swallow one so maybe I'll use actual candy canes instead.
I am using a mix of red, white and green ribbon.
I have leftover tartan paper from last year for when I run out!

As I have had the house to myself this weekend. I have started the great annual wrap.

I have 4 rolls of Kraft/red/white/gold, three red/kraft ribbons, red and gold rafia and two types of tags. My aim is not to use the same combination on two presents.... I am in wrapping heaven

I too like to take my time wrapping. I get very organised with a large space, scissors, sellotape, pen, tags, tin of ribbon all in a line. It's very calming and therapeutic.

I use Xmas print cottons and Japanese furoshiki wrapping techniques - for the adults. Pretty and reusable.

And whatever cheap wrapping paper is on offer for the kids as the still enjoy ripping it off!

DH does 90% of the wrapping and likes to get silly! tiny presents in huge boxes or pushed into a balloon etc. He feels it is his job to make the guessing harder.

The ends of all last year's rolls of paper. Red with cartoon penguins, gold with trees on etc etc. I'll get behind a colour theme with tree decorations but wrapping paper all ends up in the recycling anyway so I'm not that fussed about it.

This year I've got Paper with Brussels sprouts all over probably with white ribbon from fabric shop. Fried sprouts with bacon and bread sauce are my favourite thing about Christmas so pretty fitting!

Snow theme so white and silver.

Paper wise I have a brown one covered in sparkly silver stars, shiny silver with white snowflakes and white background with grey/silver trees scattered with iridescent dots.

Silver snowflake confetti to sprinkle inside. Using a very pale glittery gold patterned washi tape but probably have to use good old Sellotape underneath it.

White and silver ribbons/bows and tags. Adding little silver or white glitter bells and silver white chocolate coins. Not sure how to attach the coins yet, maybe try to thread them.

I love wrapping presents. I make an afternoon of it with drinks and Christmassy snacks. Stick some old Christmas songs on. It's great.

Last yr I put a layer of bubble wrap under the paper.
My guys love popping it.

Lidl have some love wrapping thing in, ribbons and paper.
They have a translucent with white snowflakes film, which is SO frozen, they alo have pain silver to go under.

I always do 3 types of paper for DH presents, with one type for each family I sent presents too as well. Makes it easier! I usually take 2-3 years to use up the rolls though, so my lot will have the same wrapping for a few years in the bounce, as wil his lot.

For DH I categorise his presents into main, present and daft. We got crazy though and get circa 20 things to open off each other each, so he'll have one paper for daft things and chocolate and stuff, one paper for his main pressies (usually gadgety), and one for the normal stuff so that when we're sitting opening them I don't have to remember what's in them to know to spread them out so he doesn't open all the awesome stuff first and get left with opening too many Firebox-type items together

I'm a wrap enthusiast too! This year we're having lovely rose gold / coppery paper I got from M&S, with thick black and white polka dot ribbon.

So excited to get wrapping!

I've got brown paper printed with retro Christmas scenes on it from ikea. I'll use bakers twine to trim and will but red matte tags I think. Dh says the paper is horrible but what does he know?

Using the wrapping paper I have leftover from last year which I bought from Wilko. They had a theme called Wild Berry or something which involved red and white polka dots and reindeers. I hope there's enough leftover!

I am wrapping my presents in beautiful christmas themed fabric this year, makes a change from wrapping paper and I will then use the fabric from family presents to make a christmas quilt for next year.

i agree just not sure i can trust my toddler this year!! I know one year I opened the whole lot as a toddler

I'm using paper that's similar to brown paper but with pictures on (reindeer, xmas trees etc..), I bought some in the Range and just picked up some in lidl, seems to be good quality. I have a bit of a wrapping paper obsession and I but too much every year.
