Wrt toot toot drivers, we have the garage and that's absolutely fine as a stand alone toy. I did buy a box of extra track which DS1 like to put together, but tbh I think they're just happy pushing cars the through the various bits in the garage. I have got DS2 the fire station to connect together, but probably won't get any more as it will take over the house!

ipswichwitch · 12/11/2014 05:08

Oops posted too soon.
I know it looks great on the advert, all the sets connected together, but to me it looks like you'd spend your time tripping over stuff and how the hell do you Hoover round it?!

ihatethecold · 12/11/2014 06:35

zip
I got a lovely mug cakes book from Oliver bonas for £7.
They also wrapped it for me for nothing !

Kathryn2967 · 12/11/2014 06:49

We love toot toot in this house and have several sets as it's been a good thing for relatives to buy bits of. My two year us starting to make tracks and my four year old loves putting it all together. However it lives in a giant box and once finished with goes straight back in the box but it looks amazing when all joined together.

andadietcoke · 12/11/2014 06:57

Kathryn I thought that might happen to us so my TT Empire is now situated on a massive play table. Makes it easier for them to get to.

And also spotted this down in price there too-
Disney's Frozen backpack
Down to just £7.49 now

VinoTime · 12/11/2014 07:42

Hmmwhatnow I managed to get the Dream House for £160 (cheapest I saw it unfortunately) on Very, so I just stuck it on my account and I'll get it paid off over the next few months. I think it's back up to full price now though.

There are voucher codes kicking about for Very I think if you fancied trying there, and I got a £30.00 off voucher for Isme in WHSmiths yesterday that won't get used, so if you want it you can have it - they have the Dream House in stock atm. I'm sure you get 10% off your first credit orders with both, and if they allowed you to stack the discount with the money off voucher you could potentially get the DH for £150. Not sure if they would, but maybe worth a try?

Failing that, Toys R Us have it in stock and you're getting a £15 voucher on orders over £100.

Amazon have the California Dream House down to £107.87 and the Malibu House down to £55.00 which is really good. I would have probably just gone with the Malibu House had it been on flippin' offer before I bought the mega beast.

Could Santa perhaps leave your girls the money for a Dream House in a special envelope? I noticed in the reviews on Toys R Us that a lot of people got it for £125 in the last January sales. I know it's not the same as them having it for Christmas day, but maybe they would find the excitement of going to pick one out themselves even better?

Oh, and keep an eye on ebay because there are a few that crop up on there - used but in excellent condition (and it would save you needing to put the bloody thing up yourself on Christmas Eve). There had been one really close to where I live that I forgot all about that went for £90 I think. The woman had thrown in a load of other tat dolls and accessories too. I was immensely pissed off at myself for forgetting about it!!!

Does anyone know a discount code for MATALAN pls?

I went to buy some stuff there last week and the checkout lady said I would get 20% off if I bought online so I put it back.

Tried to buy online yesterday and there is no 20% off that I can see.
Plus their Anna costume is now out of stock Sad

anyone have advice, please? thank you.

And thanks for everyone who replied about the christmas goat. Ikea christmas goats aren't just for christmas, they're for all seasons apparently!

ipswichwitch · 12/11/2014 08:29

I need a goat for all seasons Grin
DH would probably think I'd lost the plot if I ask for one for Christmas!

ihatethecold · 12/11/2014 09:06

Currys have an iPod touch on offer for £20 less than usual price.
Do you think John Lewis will price match?
I really hate currys.

PizzaPasta · 12/11/2014 09:09

playdoh set was £12.99 now £5

SweetPeaPods · 12/11/2014 09:09

I would avoid the sassy boxes. It's a bit of a con. You have to give them30 days notice (by email ) to cancel once you gave received your first box... Not as easy as flavourly sadly. Really should have read it properly

Acunningruse · 12/11/2014 09:10

This thread is amazing, so many bargains. Does anyone know current best price for the Vtech toot toot garage which SIL has just demanded asked for DN? Also need a toy cash register if any where has 3 for 2 on toys? Tried googling but a lot is just adverts.

TIA

SparklyReindeerShit · 12/11/2014 09:19

Are there any hobbycraft codes please?

PizzaPasta · 12/11/2014 09:25

If you add yourself to the hobby craft mailing list you get a code for either 10 or 15%. Obviously that doesn't help if you're already on it.
