Officially going back to sleep now, but just wanted to say that code VCSPEC10 is giving free delivery at BHS for spends of £10 or more.
They have a sale (but lots bikinis and things in it Xmas Hmm) but also an offer of 20% and 30% off some things, lots of sleepwear included. I'm not going to look at the 10% discounts on there yet (unless making up postage) as I think there could be better prices later on. BHS is one the retailers doing the Quidco Christmas Rewarding thingy, so go through Quidco if you have it. Not sure if me using the code for postage will mean that won't have worked though - not sure on stacking those codes after linking with Quidco...

G'night xxx Oh, and place-mark Xmas Grin

Shatteredmamma1 · 15/11/2014 05:48

Thanks so much for the info about the book people flash sale- it was very bargainous Xmas Smile

My first years is doing free delivery over £30 and a gift box with all orders. It's not v cheap but nice things for little ones.

nodramamama · 15/11/2014 07:01

Just an idea for grandparents maybe, or parents with new babies perhaps, though could be given to anyone, thanks to the poster mentioning grandparents journal I thought this was another very long term option Grin:

Just to say thanks for the Toys R Us code.

I was on last years threads but am in the process of splitting from DH and haven't felt like making a start on Christmas 2014 until now.

I've just ordered DS the VTech Dino that's top of his wishlist so thank you Xmas Smile

nodramamama · 15/11/2014 07:19

Havinganoffday welcome to the thread, hopefully the thread will help with some seasonal banter and fun, everyone is lovely and we've all spent saved lots of money Smile

nodramamama · 15/11/2014 07:22

Any ideas how to persuade my DS that it's Santa buying his presents and not us? He's 3.5 but pester power has properly kicked in the past couple of weeks, asking for this and that from catalogues and we've never had to deal with it Confused

missmakesstuff · 15/11/2014 07:25

I can't keep up with these threads! Up early to take car for mot so might find once it's done I need to save money somewhere!

I'm still buying bits and pieces for people, tried to add together everything using a gift list app and struggled to remember everything I've bought, dds presents are coming in at about £60 at the moment which is amazing, she has tons of stuff! Biggest problem is Dh relatives now, we have to post everything so it's mostly clothes, no amount of wrapping in cellophane is going to tart those up!

I finally have my sassy bloom box, which was ok for £9 in the end, would have been pretty annoyed having spent£29 on it through, I got a taggy blanket, a buggy clip, some nipple cream and a foot and leg cream, plus a pregnancy drink I saw in poundland the other week.
However if someone does want codes I have 10 off.
also have: graze breakfast box free
20% off at surfdome, expires end Nov
£50 virgin wines voucher

All single use, pm if you want.

bumpy ring newsflash I've had a delivery of the remaining 11 rings!

But they are a bit late now for the Halloween party I wanted them for so I'll have to find another use for them - may just put one in every parcel I wrap up Smile

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 15/11/2014 08:29

Highfive thanks for sharing will have to keep an eye for future one's as if all goes to plan baby 2 will be here by next weekend

MadameJinglealltheway · 15/11/2014 08:36

Was there a code for toys r us please?

Notso · 15/11/2014 09:02

nodramamama we've always emphasised Christmas being about surprises. The DC write a list that I tell them is not just for FC but also for the other people who buy them gifts, this way I always see it. We say that although it's nice to get some things from the list, it's so exciting to open surprises and that FC can think of toys you didn't know you wanted Wink
This has backfired slightly as my 10 year old has only asked for surprises and one other toy which gets awful reviews and I haven't a clue what to buy him Hmm

Thanks to whoever recommended the K'nex roller coaster. I have had a look, is it sturdy? Although it will be for nearly 4yo DS it will be played with by my 2 yo as well. Both are quite heavy handed and DS2 is likely to get really annoyed if it breaks when he's trying to play. We are having problems with his temper at the moment Sad

ModerationInEverything · 15/11/2014 09:10

Does anyone know when the argos 342 finishes?

ModerationInEverything · 15/11/2014 09:11

Ooops, apparently it's already finished!

FlipFlippingFlippers · 15/11/2014 09:19

Hanging it might be worth checking your local entertainer store for Melissa and Doug stuff as mine has an entire section.

Sorry to say the w h smiths card I posted about only gives 20% off until the 7th Dec. Still pretty good if you've got your eye on something in particular.

Neeko · 15/11/2014 09:26

There's up to 40% sleepwear and winter accessories at debenhams today. Just ordered dd a onesie and myself some Christmas PJs!

daddykyller · 15/11/2014 09:40

This weekend, there is an event on ebay called "The Wow Weekend"

With up to 60% off from top highstreet retailers and big brands via their outlets on ebay

IHeartKingThistle · 15/11/2014 09:42

Notso I think K'Nex might be for slightly older children. My 5.5 year old is getting a basic set as he's asked for it but he had a go with some at a friends house and had to work quite hard to get the pieces snapped together. The box says 7+ on it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/11/2014 09:42
