I will start it off after supper.

OP posts:
Bozza · 05/10/2006 14:36

this is it

hana · 05/10/2006 15:24

we wrap ( or I wrap!) presents for socks - gives dh and I time to wake up with a cup of coffee/tea watching the girls unwrap before the day gets going!

saltire · 05/10/2006 15:48

Thanks bozza, will investigate when the Dss are in bed!

sandyballs · 05/10/2006 16:08

Betty, my DD is the same about blutak - I also gave her a whole pack for xmas last year and she was ecstatic . She's 5.

Gem13 · 05/10/2006 16:13

dinosaur trumps for DS (4). He can't read yet but hopefully he'll be able to read the numbers... There was also Thomas Trumps which I pondered over. Both in Borders.

small diecast thunderbird toys - ebay

Stockings are the main presents here - maybe one physically big present from us as well under the tree.

Haven't got further than that.

expatinscotland · 05/10/2006 16:15

These are excellent!

Am finally getting the chance to do a stocking this year, as DD1 is 3 and old enough to get into it.

They're not that big a deal in the US, so I'm looking forward to getting into the tradition here for my wee girls.

BettyBatShapedSpaghetti · 05/10/2006 16:50

sandyballs -glad its not just my DD thats fixated with it! Was starting to worry that maybe she was just a bit weird

small dynamo torch

janeite · 05/10/2006 20:12

Lol CalifornifamousFANGjo - maybe we could set up a business offering quirky ready made stockings for busy mums?

Am LOVING the novelty plaster suggestion Curlew!

Clary · 05/10/2006 23:56

what a fabulous thread, must print it off.
Janeite fortune fish and magic tree things are great.

But stamped envelopes, that's genius. DD obsessed with writing letters to friends. Also like idea of novelty plasters. Curious the things children adore, eh?

fussymummy · 06/10/2006 01:03

Santa always leaves loads of craft items to stock up their craft chests:
glue stick
feathers
foam shapes
wobbly eyes
sticky paper
glitter glue pens
paper

Also, mini bags maltesers
satsuma
apple
chocolate coins
dvd
cd

Kids also get a new outfit that santa leaves wrapped up on their beds.

You'd be amazed how quick they get dressed when told to!!!

Try not to buy 'tat', that we'll be picking up all over xmas!!!!!

firemaiden · 07/10/2006 11:15

Sainsbury's are doing mr Men bubble bath - one third off.

hovely · 08/10/2006 22:58

My DD just wants Star Wars and Dr Who figures. Still, DD2 is into Barbies and pink fluffy things so get to do both worlds which is nice.

still a bit to get but on the way to organised bliss

bigfatbump · 20/10/2006 11:27

My dd (3 1/2) is also getting an outfit from the Bear Factory and some magnets from Letterbox.

I also have to fill stockings for mum, dh and brother. Eeek.

melpomene · 26/10/2006 20:40

I've ordered some things from Yellow Moon, including Teddy's Toy Pack (20 stocking fillers for £3.99) and also these magnets where you can insert your own picture .

Plus, some of the proceeds from the site go either to charity or to a nominated school/preschool.

Earlybird · 29/11/2006 12:41

Anyone have anything to add to the list?

BexieID · 29/11/2006 13:41

I got a Tigger stocking from Asda for Thomas, thought it would be better than getting a 1st Christmas one. I have got him the Winnie The Pooh figurines like the Fisher Price Little People ones. I might get him some plastic kitchen utensils as he loved playing with them at my mums last week, lol.

I did suggest to my Fiance about doing each other a stocking so I better think of something!

Katherine · 29/11/2006 13:57

Mine are getting bathbombs in theirs. Plus socks etc. DD2 is getting a pair of goggles for swimming. They are also getting a bird feeder, came from the natural collection in a pack of 3 - they are like a little ball on a stick with seeds in them. Also pencil sharpeners (can't understand how we get through so many in this house).

Katherine · 29/11/2006 14:03

Packet of seeds (trying to think what would be suitable to plant soon)
