RJ, I love wrapping bit will have to wait for a couple of weeks until DS and DH are out of the house at the same time so I can do in peace and not have to worry about things being spotted. Hopefully all my deliveries will have arrived by then as done tons of orders today whilst watching box sets.

Can't help you with the twitch as I buy and wrap and then shop more Blush

cookiefiend · 28/10/2014 19:08

I am thinking of trying the elf on a shelf thing. I looked online and the real elves are both expensive and creepy as hell. I was out shopping yesterday and found a lovely rag doll type elf, probably about 10 inches high, for £2 in tiger yesterday. Next to all their Christmas stuff. I was in Livingston, but there is also one in the St James centre in Edinburgh if you are in this area.

I will try and find it amongst my shopping later and upload a picture.

cookiefiend · 28/10/2014 19:10

I too did my first lot of wrapping a few weeks ago. So nice to feel so organised! I keep humming Christmas songs. I blame you lot....

IHeartKingThistle · 28/10/2014 19:10

My Rakuten play-doh order arrived - so impressed with them and the colours are so lovely I want to play with it myself!

Anyone have any opinions on K'nex?

Reastie · 28/10/2014 19:11

I'm hoping it doesn't rain but we will still have fun. I haven't been since I was about four and I was sick in the car Smile

Does anyone know of any ELC codes, think I must have missed the birthday club one.

Body shop have 40% off (including sale) with the code 14672

pigleychez · 28/10/2014 19:47

Well im now 2 presents down. I ordered new Elsa dresses for the girls from Matalan that arrived this morning.
Ive caught the dreaded bug that the rest of my family have had the past few days and giving them to the girls meant they spent the whole day playing Frozen leaving me to cuddle up on the sofa.

OutThereLil · 28/10/2014 20:03

Drusillas is great. We go there once a year and stay over in a hotel.

My dds love it Smile

snappybadger · 28/10/2014 20:06

Not really a Christmas bargain but for all those buying the Disney DVDs on 2 for 1 lately, don't forget to register your Disney Movie Rewards codes that you get on the little flyer inside every Disney DVD. Each DVD gives you 100 points and you only need 500 points to claim a free DVD as a reward. I have had many free Disney DVDs this way!

Also, Beauty and the Beast is being re-released on 10th November and the best pre-order price I've found is at Asda Direct for £10.

If anyone has a Florence and Fred basket at Tesco waiting for a good discount before checkout, the codes WINTERWARMER and 54321TESCO stack together to give you £15 off a spend over £55, it's just worked for me and orders over £50 have free standard delivery Smile

JessesGirl · 28/10/2014 20:37

I went RL totally unbargainous shopping today to Selfridges. Well I say unbargainous, but I did manage to get a Frozen Busy Book for £2 just because it is slightly damaged Grin

I'm still looking for a Smyths code if anybody knows of one.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 28/10/2014 20:45

Thanks barbeastie
We got Peter Pan recently to fuel DD1s tinkerbells love. Wink

PamelaEwing · 28/10/2014 20:48

I got an email from The Book People saying that they now deliver worldwide and have special worldwide shipping rates. They also now take Paypal! Hurrah!

admiralcslingeringcorpse · 28/10/2014 20:59

Managed to catch the last day of the sainsburys sale today completely by accident and got dd some half price moshi monsters and the balance bike for £20. Undecided if I want to keep it though! Does anyone have the sainsburys one and is it any good?
The next conundrum if I do decide to keep it is whether to give it to her for Christmas or keep it for her birthday in Feb?

Also been to asda and got DDS dad this amazing elf jumper for £14. Not particularly bargainous but it jingles!!! Also just discovered from that link that they give a % of the sale to save the children

VinoTime · 28/10/2014 21:05

I need help! Sad

Dd has asked for a Barbie Dream House for Christmas. Initially she had wanted Sylvanian Families, but when I asked her what she would prefer, the dream house is certainly the winner. I have bought her loads of SF's, but I can put them away for her Birthday and at least that's taken care of.

At £200.00, I'm feeling a bit depressed. I'm pretty sure she'd be equally as happy with either a California/Malibu house as an alternative, but even they aren't cheap.

Has anybody seen any offers?!

Baconsandwichandacupoftea · 28/10/2014 21:27

Thanks snappybadger had no idea about Disney Movie Rewards - dug out the DVD stack and free DVD coming up!

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 28/10/2014 21:29

What do you mean? The Malibu house is a snip at a mere £80 or so...

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 28/10/2014 21:32

Looking at camelcamelcamel, the Dream House did briefly drop to £100 on Amazon in January and (even more briefly) July -- and more usefully for Christmas purposes it did drop to £125-£135 in November last year, so it's worth watching to see whether they do that again this year.

pmcp15 · 28/10/2014 21:37

Vino barbie California dream house here at £99.96 down from £129 here

Laundryangel · 28/10/2014 21:40

Can someone explain to me about Disney DVDs and how they work? By which I mean, how & when & for how long they release them. Someone commented earlier about how they are releasing the Lion King again soon. Does that explain why I haven't been able to buy it in the past couple of years? If it is, does that mean another is being taken out of circulation?
Thanks

dustybinlydia · 28/10/2014 21:42

Imaginabox Cradle is £2.93 on Amazon instead of £9.99.

StillWearingOddSocks · 28/10/2014 21:46

Ditto thanks to snappy badger -just opened up all our old DVD Disney boxes & racked up a nice lot of points. Will add to when we open our 'free' DVDs via the top cashback offer some other kind MNetter posted.

Thanks guys x

StillWearingOddSocks · 28/10/2014 21:49
