I don't mind getting some for the US if they'll deliver! (I'll grab some pop tarts and twinkies while I'm there Wink)

It's a silly thing to get sad over but it's something I used to do with my Mum and it makes Christmas ok for me iyswim...

My DP works for a huge American company... Maybe they'll send him some Grin

RJnomore · 07/10/2014 08:42

Flsvourly deluxe box £7 plus delivery

local.amazon.co.uk/National-UK/B00O7UCMD2?ref_=site_more&cid=site_more

Just remember to cancel future deliveries.

TheOnlyPink · 07/10/2014 08:42

pictures I got these Remington straighteners after my ghd died cos the reviews were so good. They are definitely just as good as the ghd. And much better price!

WildFlowersAttractBees · 07/10/2014 08:49

Groupon Frozen PJ Deal from £3.99 plus delivery of £1.99.

admiralclingus · 07/10/2014 08:49

margaritas they have them in Smyth's but they're £8 each so not bargainous unfortunately Sad

pictures try boots for straighteners, we've started doing a star gift on electrical too so would be worth keeping an eye on what's on offer there? I had some amazing babyliss ones for £30 last year, better than thee ghds I had to replace

margaritasbythesea · 07/10/2014 08:54

Thanks admiral but they are not online. We live in rural Wales, so no smyths here Sad

FernArable · 07/10/2014 09:38

Titsalina you can get a pack of 4 delivered from Amazon.com for £50. Then you'd probably have to pay VAT and import duty. Definitely not a bargain but if money is no object go for it!

HopeAndStories · 07/10/2014 09:41

Had an email from The Book People- get £2.50 off a £20 spend or £4 off a £30 spend using code- BESTTREAT ends midnight tonight

TrisisFour · 07/10/2014 09:47

Freedom, I posted a link to the baby annabell further up the thread but I just found this youtube video of the one that I'm going to get for DD. Looks so cute although I'm a bit worried about how much the woman seems to love her Grin

Picturesinthefirelight · 07/10/2014 09:47

Thanks Theonlypink - they do look a much better price

Admiral - I did look at the straighteners in Boots yesterday but got confused by the range of prices/types.

Dds hair dryer is Babyliss (from Boots last year). How do they compare to the Remington ones Theonlypink linked to.

Saw some Mark Hill ones in the Christmas section but wasn't sure about them.

iloveholidays · 07/10/2014 09:50

I'm now a little worried about the toys from Ali Express. I've ordered plush ones, flying elsa, Anna dresses and the little figures. I will get rid of the figures but interested in people's views on the plush ones?

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 07/10/2014 10:01

Has anyone got any h&m codes please?

weebarra · 07/10/2014 10:03

I have a Boots £5 off No7 skin care and £3 off No7 make up that I won't use and I can post it if anyone wants it?

Pidgy · 07/10/2014 10:07

Does anyone know if Happyland usually has more than 20% off?

I'd like to get the Fairy Boot for DD and it's currently reduced by 20%. Should I wait or get it now?

Also the dressing up stuff has 20% off too. Do they usually reduce further? Can you stack birthday codes with the reductions?

Tesco Direct: spend £75 and get £15 off. Enter TDXR-XNKM at the checkout. Ends 30/11

Picturesinthefirelight · 07/10/2014 10:09

Yes please if you still have it will PM you but am on phone so not easy.

freedom2post · 07/10/2014 10:09

I've bought the plush dolls and the olaf.

I can't see how they are any different to the ones sold over here.

PamelaEwing · 07/10/2014 10:11

I think it depends on your own personal viewpoint about AliExpress.

I just feel uneasy as you can't be sure what safety checks and controls the factories that Ali Express sellers adhere to in order to churn out masses of these cheap plush and plastic toys in such huge volumes. And whether things like plastic tablewear/lunchboxes are BPA free?

Like I said before, I'm a terrible worrywart and always overly cautious Grin

dandelionsRflowers · 07/10/2014 10:13

The £4 Frozen colouring in/activity tins are back in stock on Tesco direct.

freedom2post · 07/10/2014 10:15

Disney also churn out huge volumes at cheap prices. Yes there are guaranteed safety checks when selling in this country but don't fooled into thinking that because you're paying £20 for a doll its a quality item.

Its still cheaply made in huge volumes - Disney just massively mark the price up.

freedom2post · 07/10/2014 10:17

My plush dolls had Disney labels on them. They are just seconds.

Disney could easy sell them for this price and make a profit but why would they do that when they can flog them to us fools at triple the price?

glenthebattleostrich · 07/10/2014 10:20

Just spoken to a friend who's company buys from China and she thinks the aliexpress stuff should be fine, just give it a check over first. She works in quality control so do trust her judgement.

She looked at the bits I've bought (my Elsa) plush arrived with Disney store labels and said they are good quality and probably from the same factory the Disney stuff comes from.

I'll let you know when the plastic dolls arrive.

Guitargirl · 07/10/2014 10:25

Thanks dandelion for the frozen tin tip-off, have just ordered 4 for upcoming birthday parties.
