I'm looking for some trips out over December so suggestions welcome.

Currently looking into Longleat, Winchester Christmas Market and Paultons.

Was looking at Kew but haven't had the best feedback Smile

Have 3 DDs 2-5.

Thank you all! Smile

Waddesdon Manor is always beautifully decorated at xmas, the main house is shut but one wing is open and stunning, they also have a pretty stables area, sheep skin rugs on chairs, selling hot choclate and baileys, a little area with reindeer where you can take photos and somewhere to write to FC if yours are young enough, pretty gardens, light installation at night to walk round ( nothing wow but nice enugh) sometimes, carol singers. and a play area he house itself is stunning, chateau style, owned by rothschilds. worth a drive out i think....nice pub just by it, the five arrows too.

Watercress Line in Alton. They do [[http://www.watercressline.co.uk/product.php/40/santa-special/ff6312a59f9c5ba5764bdf697cfa2003 Santa Specials]] as well.

Mottisfont Abbey, outside Romsey, usually have a Christmas exhibition/family trail (as do other local properties) and have a Nutcracker theme this year:

or make a big day out over to the island and do Christmas at Osborne House.

The Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth do Victorian Christmas things

Thanks Issy, I love the idea of the watercress line but it would cost £90 for an hours ride which seems a lot.

Very tempted by the Portsmouth Victorian christmas festival...
