I can't think of anything to buy, nothing at all so far! She doesn't like Hello Kitty, Moshi monsters (sp), One Direction, Loom Bands, etc., etc..

Likes - reading, we probably buy 15 books a month, Lego, she has more than enough, Shleich Fantasy - has enough, new watch recently, art - has enough supplies, sewing - has a sewing box/kit I put together for her last birthday, music (v musical)- has a piano and recorder am reluctant to introduce another instrument/anything else musical. V outdoorsy still uses her swing/climbing frame with tent on it. Has a bike, scooter, pony. We have a family iPad which she is allowed to use and she has our old iPod with a docking station in her room for books on tape.

Any ideas, I am lost, she never asks for anything, has tons of £ in her pocket money tin and never spends it - what on earth can I buy for Xmas?

Fragolino - thank you, that is a lovely thing to say. Lavender

Glad you have lots of idea now! Smile

I meant to come back last night and suggest a few board games, but my machine crashed!

DD enjoys Settlers of Catan and Augustus immensely, however, you do need 3 people to play Settlers of Catan.

I was going to suggest a proper writing desk - a bureau type. I would have loved one when I was eight. TBH I would love one now. You could fill it withpaper, beautiful pens and pencils prrhaps spne customised stationery for her ?

Playmobil or sylvanians? My 8 yo would still love more! Lego friends? They have brought out some great new pieces.

More lovely ideas - already has a desk in her room and when she does spend her pocket money it is usually on stationery and pretty pens that only work for a week. We have avoided playmobil and synvanians so far - love Schleich and preferred to keep the collecting of more plastic to a minimum.

Loves Lego but is into Harry Potter, sadly discontinued, so now Hobbit and LOTR Lego - I am still trying not to buy more Lego this year!

Have you asked her what she might like? ( sorry if I have missed soe thing here, I read the thread yesterday) I sometimes get surprising answers and things I hadn't thought of when I ask DD directly what she might like- heelys was the most recent answer...wish I hadn't asked!Confused

Olivio - she never asks for anything and probably doesn't really know what is out there (no TV). She has asked for one thing - set of Guardians of Ga'Hoole books which one GM is buying for her.

She does usually write a letter to FC - perhaps I should ask her to do that now!

Pogo stick just for the fun of it. Her name in letters on a necklace. A ticket to sleep over in a museum.
