Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

Just wanted to come in and wave to everyone. I am here, just lurking a bit and trying not to spend too much

Not been following the thread too closely yet, but just wanted to share this knex mario set (apologies if someone else has shared it) - it's £11.95 vs an alleged £29.99 rrp on Amazon.

Bigfoot - this is the Milton Keynes scrap store:
mkplayassociation.wordpress.com/scrapstore-and-resource-shop/

But there are others around, one of which might be closer. The general list for all scrap stores is here:
www.scrapstoresuk.org/
There are loads around including a few in London...

Definitely worth investigating for all sorts of crafty stuff Grin

If anyone likes L'occitane and is thinking of buying something then you might want to consider popping in to one of their stores and filling out a card to be on their mailing list as they send you a voucher /online code for twenty percent off. Takes a little while to receive it but could be worth doing!

Ps thanks for the scrap store info I have one about 1/2 hour from me which is amazing cos usually these type of things always sound great then there are none in Scotland Grin

Methenyouplus4 · 13/08/2014 22:17

Well, after John Lewis ringing to cancel my order, they've emailed me to say it's ready to collect? Going to ring the store direct before I trail over and find out it's an error but hopefully not.

Well pleased with Jule's order though delivery service they use is awful.

sarahandFuck · 13/08/2014 22:39

In The Works today I bought the craft book Everything Oz for £3.99 and it's quite nice for crafty people or Wizard of Oz fans, and quite a big saving as it's currently £10.49 on Amazon.

Went to

sarahandFuck · 13/08/2014 22:43

Also, not sure if these have been mentioned on other threads but Home Bargains have a lot of Angry Birds Star Wars telepods, assorted 2 packs for £1.50 (usually £5.99 in other shops) plus some packs of figures, vehicles and building blocks for either £2.99 or £3.99 and I've seen those same packs in Toys R Us for anywhere between £17 and £25.

cosysocks · 13/08/2014 22:45

Went to Matalan Clearance todsy , they have all their Xmas things out. I bought big Xmas slipper socks for £2, a hat andnscarf for £3, obviously it depends on what stock but just thought I'd mention in case anyone has one near them.

KEGirlOnFire · 14/08/2014 08:00

I've finished my shopping in terms of what I need - but I fear I will be lulled into buying more because of this thread... DH saw a load of Frozen stuff advertised on Smyths Toys. They say they have it all in store so get yourselves down there if you have one near you.

We don't have one but most of the stock will be online in October, but I guess it'll go pretty quick. They're certainly keeping this Frozen thing going, considering it came out last Xmas!! It's only getting MORE popular!

I really need to write a list of what I've got for DD... I've probably gone way over the top already.

KEGirlOnFire · 14/08/2014 08:03

I need to buy something for my two nephews. One is 18 and one is 15.

I normally send a 'Love 2 Shop' voucher or a 'Game' voucher but I don't want to spend £10 this time. I want to get something 'worth' £10 but not pay it... Which is pretty much why we're all here.

Anyone with teenage boys, any idea? Bought one of the Ben Sherman watches that were reduced for one of the boys' birthdays. But it's Xmas I need help with...

MyMummyRuns · 14/08/2014 08:16

zipzap thank you for your scrap store tip - shock horror we actually have one near us in here in the deepest darkest north east! I will be raiding it as soon as they re-open after the summer hols! Thanks

Nix01 · 14/08/2014 08:21

Can anyone think of a really nice wedding pressie for a professional couple who already live together, no kids?

Badvoc123 · 14/08/2014 08:27

I have ordered an aliexpress frozen dress for my nieces b day in nov!
Hope it's ok...
Ds2 is done really, except stocking.
Ds1...no idea! Have preordered him a couple of DVDs from amazon but that's it.

KEGirlOnFire · 14/08/2014 08:30

Nix01 - what sort of budget are you looking at? We had a wedding list but I remember that one of our friends got us an ornament, one of the Willow Tree ones (link below from Amazon). It started off my collection and now I have loads of them.

www.amazon.co.uk/Willow-Tree-26032-Together-Figurine/dp/B001UNCGJY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408001367&sr=8-1&keywords=willow+tree+wedding+figures

Of course you may be thinking of spending more or they may not be into ornaments... Blush

Nanny25 · 14/08/2014 09:01

Reastie I noticed this on another thread, can't remember who mentioned it but I thought would be very handy to add to the list!

It is a website that will search for items on Amazon when you only need to spend a little more to make up to £10 for free postage.

AllThatGlistens · 14/08/2014 10:17

I've made a cracking start on my gift list now, can people keep their eyes out for good deals on 3ds xl consoles? I need two, but don't want bundle packages as they will replace their old 3ds, so want to try and get a good deal, also on the hunt for a pretty Christmas oilcloth for my table if anyone's seen any?

saladfingers · 14/08/2014 10:32

Thanks Nanny25, that's a great Amazon tool!
Local Sainsburys had third off many small Lego sets yesterday.
Does anyone one know when they will next have 25% off clothing?

WildFlowersAttractBees · 14/08/2014 10:41

Allthatglistens, try Norfolk Textiles for oil cloth. Great quality.

curlingandtwirling · 14/08/2014 10:42
