Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

My Studio24 Xmas catalogue has just arrived!! Eek!! Grin

ISpyPlumPie · 13/08/2014 15:30

Sorry to hear about the cancelled JL orders - mine all arrived Monday morning after ordering late Friday night so it must just be luck of the draw.

Just popped on to say our local Sainsbury's had half price costumes - we got Captain America for £6.50. They also had Iron Man, Spiderman, pirates and various princessy things (bit vague on those as not really DS1's thing!). They weren't marked as reduced, just came up at the till so not sure if it does apply to everything. Lovely unexpected bargain though.

Madaboutthrows · 13/08/2014 16:14

spotted some Cath Kidson mugs in TK Maxx for 2.99 today. They are quite small but would make a nice small gift for maybe a teacher or as part of a bigger pressie

Also spotted quite a bit of le cruset stuff for a foodie pressie

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/08/2014 16:37

Yo Reastie! How the heck are you?
Made my first purchases today courtesy of the thread's Amazon links. (Clock thingy, owl bracelet and peacock bracelet)
I've got a flavourly email too but haven't read it yet. I still keep getting samples from that trattoria thingy...does everyone else? Feeling almost guilty as never bought diddly from them!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/08/2014 16:45

Hi sangria! I keep getting the fattoria(?!) thing too but no samples just super posh booklets!

In a bit of a panic that I had not yet ordered DD's frozen dresses for Christmas from AliExpress Wink, I have just spent the best part of 2 hours tying to filter out the 44,000 odd search results for frozen dress Shock.

I must have put at least 20 into my wish list so I could compare them but when I had finished there were only 8 there so not sure where the other disappeared to! Anyhow, I have just ordered 5 dresses (3 frozen ones) for £22 so hopefully they will be ok....I'm pretty sure DD will love them whatever they look like! I'll report back when they arrive. Oneoff I'm glad you're chuffed with your swimsuit.

Oh bloomin heck...just realised I need to get a tiara as well...I'll have to do that another day I'm totally AliExpressed out!

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 13/08/2014 17:18

Earlytorise no I didn't have any luck with getting the micro scooter either...not even my annoying multiple phonecalls to the store persistence paid off Sad

samlamb · 13/08/2014 17:18

Where is the light up christmas tree please or is it a joke?!

BakeOffQueen · 13/08/2014 17:24

Hi Sangria :) Like Spotty, I've just been getting the booklet things but no samples other than the original wine/oil/spaghetti I got way back last year.

In other news, I think my delivery man hates me already. I must have had millions of parcels lately ok, not quite 1 million! I see him everyday, and it's only going to get worse the closer Christmas gets Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 13/08/2014 17:27

My delivery guy is really friendly. He says he doesn't mind as I keep him in business Blush plus he will always leave my parcel for me if I'm not in

BakeOffQueen · 13/08/2014 17:33
Grin

I think me answering the door to him one morning (at 7.30 so I wasn't expecting him then tbf!) in just a towel with hairy legs Blush hasn't helped Grin

andadietcoke · 13/08/2014 18:07

I haven't had an email from Flavourly and got the Christmas box last year - what am I missing out on?!

Sorry, missed a bit off my last post. Anyway, I was in such a flap as I was just in a towel, with hairy legs, wet unbrushed hair and no make up on that I basically chucked his machine thing that you sign and it fell on the floor, then he told me off telling me not to throw his machine on the floor Blush

I guess you had to be there Grin. I just wish I had different delivery people! Or I could stop spending money Wink

BigfootFiles · 13/08/2014 18:38

MildDrPepper, thanks for those suggestions. I haven't got a Home Bargains near me, sadly. I check Poundland when I'm in but find the quality variable - like felt tips that don't last. But sometimes they do come good!

Thank you for the weblink FreedomToPost, I will check them out later!

And thank you ZipZap, you may have hit on the holy grail - offcuts and the like are exactly the sort of thing I'm after, but I've never heard of scrap shops. Off to google our nearest now - though I could tie an Ikea trip in to make a Milton Keynes visit justifiable!

You're all wonderful, thanks v much! Thanks Thanks Thanks

wibblyjelly · 13/08/2014 19:03

Just bought the taste card and tablet deal. We've been interested in getting a taste card anyway, and the tablet can be used to amuse ds, even if it's not great qualityGrin
