Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

Hensfunny, they had lots of little bargains. If your has a clothing section I also got Christmas socks for advent for a mere 75p a pair!

The Christmas Pickle is an American tradition - you get a random pickle Christmas decoration like this and hang it on the tree then on Christmas Eve, Santa hides it (either somewhere on the tree or in the house), the first to find it either gets an extra present (eg chocolate) or gets to go first opening their presents. I like the idea of using it as a way to decide who goes first with their presents, as we try to take it in turns although I'm not sure why it's a pickle, I've never thought of gherkins as being especially Christmassy, but I like the randomness of it and now I want one!

I can't believe it's 4 months today! Thanks to this thread I've spent £13 on Coca Cola, bought some giant dinosaur feet and two bunny nightlights.

I'm thinking of doing 24 mini advent presents for ds and dh. Things like a chocolate bar, packet of stickers etc. Has to be cheap, but they each get a mini present to open up each day in December. Any ideas?

I've just had a quick look on ebay, haven't seen any cheaper than the amazon one but they do have a yodelling christmas pickle if you want to get a bit more for your money
