Is the corgi city playset 'hot wheels sized' cars?

whoneedstosleep · 26/06/2014 16:03

A bit bigger than hot wheels norks

Rosvita · 26/06/2014 16:14

nickdrake that is an excellent price for beechwood hall! I'm really tempted to buy it for dd but she already has maple manor which she got last year and would need another family and more furniture to fill another house.

EvilHerbivore · 26/06/2014 16:32

Just got a fisher price puppy (the green one that sings and talks) for £5 down from £18 in Sainsburys

NorksEnormous · 26/06/2014 17:12

Went and got the corgi playset and am impressed with it for £5! Don't think it would be worth £19.99 but it is definitely a bargain at £4.99. The mats are good quality material- I was expecting them to be cardboard. There's a farm mat and a city one. Then there's a die cast tractor with detachable trailer, a milk lorry, a farm vehicle thing, a fire engine, an ambulance, a police car and a helicopter.

I have already gave it to 4yo DS as his fish died when he came home from school Sad and it has certainly cheered him up. He's having a great time playing with it so £5 well spent IMO Smile

mamapants · 26/06/2014 18:13

Have been lurking on this thread and have already bought some things I'd never have thought of like the fortune telling fish at only 20p each. Burts bees grab bags which are great with a free burts bees hand balm and lip balm. Also got some new swimwear for DS1 from the amazon pumpkin patch sale.
I have just bought an elf off amazon -which is going to be the elf on the shelf for our house (only heard of this via mumsnet but the official ones are very expensive)
Found a lovely one on amazon, it arrived this morning and it really is beautiful, excellent quality and can be posed into different positions.

Hope link works, otherwise search Isiss elf. I got the bosque elf. There are also fairies.

pantshavenames · 26/06/2014 18:14

Cox and cox have 70% off a few things at the most. Most of it is 100% overpriced in the first place Smile but there are iPad/kindle/phone sleeves which aren't too bad.

scrappydappydoo · 26/06/2014 18:16

I've just reserved that sylvanian families house - dd has just got into sylvanians so I don't know much about them - does the house come with furniture or characters? The description isn't clear.

JerseySpud · 26/06/2014 18:26

Disney Store have up to 50% off sale going on, including princess dresses

Twinkletights · 26/06/2014 18:41

Mamapants please could you post a link to the burts bees things. Thanks

chanie44 · 26/06/2014 18:53

The body shop has 40% off all sale items with code 19804. Last year, I bought some of the body butters for £3 for the children's nursery teachers.

Reastie · 26/06/2014 19:24

I was just coming on to say about Disney Store but see you've beaten me to it! There's also a John Lewis sale on now too.

My Bayliss and whatsit things arrived today (free gift from magazine subscription). It's 3 full sized things, body wash and 2 body lotion type things.

The Sylvanian families link states figures and furniture sold separately. Excellent price for it. Never seen it that low.

lucysmam · 26/06/2014 20:15

mama, I like the elf...have added it to my (very very long) wishlist Grin

nickdrakeslovechild · 26/06/2014 20:43

Just got back from Argos with the corgi set, imaginex dinosaur and the disney planes set. £65 worth of toys for just under £15! Even my OH was impressed.

I am sitting on my hands with the Sylvanian family house, I've just done up an old traditional dolls house and already bought the camper van, toy shop and restaurant along with a few separate bits I've found along the way. I do need to say my Lo has never said she likes them or wants them but I really really do Please tell me most little girls like them?? Blush

Coveredinweetabix · 26/06/2014 20:50

Quite a few of the Disney DVDs seem quite cheap on amazon at the moment as they're only about £7 each.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 26/06/2014 20:53

I got the colour changing flower and dolphin bath toy today.

The flower is good, it goes through each colour nice and calmly and seems to be lovely and relaxing.

The dolphin however seems to be like some kind of jerky roller disco when it lights up so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or if its a rogue one that's a bit dodgy! Grin

daddykyller · 26/06/2014 21:10

Another 'Frozen' bargain Girls Frozen Queen Elsa Princess Anna Swimwear Swimsuit 3-9Y £5.99 and free delivery on ebay

daddykyller · 26/06/2014 21:42

And also- that large loom bands collection from amazon are now down even further to £1.90
1800 Colourful Loom Bands & 75 Clips

lucysmam · 26/06/2014 21:46

nickdrake, do you mean Sylvanians? My girls play with my 25ish year old caravan and school house even though they've never expressed an interest in them really. Often they come out with the dolls house & they have a mix of pretend people and sylvanians going on Grin

lucysmam · 26/06/2014 21:47

Ok, I re-read, you did mean sylvanians, sorry Blush

BeanyIsPregnant · 26/06/2014 21:53

lottie when did you order your dolphin? Mine still hasent arrived!? :(
