I can't work out if my dds will be over it by then or if I should buy Frozen bits for presents.

What will you be doing?

Again. A couple of us were amused by the title ( a capital 'f' for Frozen would have made all the difference here) hence, in my case, clicking.

Still baffled at being told to fuck off (which have reported by the way). A ridiculous response.

Not smug about shopping in December here. My budget is of my (and my dh's) choosing. Not unlimited, that would be vulgar surely Grin

Lweji · 09/06/2014 20:06

You need to see what's coming for children in 2014.
This may help but it has nothing for Christmas.

Check Annie or the Penguins of Madagascar, possibly The Little Prince

OorWullie · 09/06/2014 20:07

Nope, DS is 4 and couldn't be less interested in it.

I have hinted heavily that i want some for my 25th birthday this week though Grin

Lweji · 09/06/2014 20:07

You'd have to be a fool to pass up a bargain and then pay full price in December just because that's the correct time of year to Christmas shop

You are right, but what is the likelihood that it will still have appeal by then? Children change very fast.

caramelwaffle · 09/06/2014 20:09

I clicked on the thread to perhaps respond with "well no, I don't think homemade icecream is going to be the top of my giving list this year"

But hey, ho.

The MN Christmas topic is one of the nicer areas of MN with some lovely, positive people.

On a side note: I used to make some absolutely Wonderful homemade icecreams.

caramelwaffle · 09/06/2014 20:11

Gah.

Better than my spelling.

Real cream. Fresh eggs. Hand whisked...

Actually, yes.

Frozen gifts this year Grin

MayhemMostDays · 09/06/2014 20:13

Not always.

I have bought book collections aimed at the age my daughter will be at Christmas. Probably a little difficult for her atm but perfect come Christmas.

The world atlas and world puzzle I bought from Amazon will be perfect at Christmas, no matter what fad she is into.

I also know Lego Friends will be a big hit so can buy those if I see them on offer. I have just bought the Lego Friends Reader books for Christmas.

All these things were reduced.

Which retailer had the Lego Friends reduced, Mayhem?

MayhemMostDays · 09/06/2014 20:17

The book collection I bought was £3 delivered from The Book People.

Sainsburys have recently had Lego Friends reduced but it's instore only.

JerseySpud · 09/06/2014 20:26

If you dont want to discuss Christmas stay away from the board

caramelwaffle · 09/06/2014 20:28

I read that as Good Will Hunting hunks. Heh.

kimlo · 09/06/2014 20:52

Caramel you might want to keep an eye on the disney shop website, the maleficent doll and dress have been sold out for all the time ive been trying to get it, so thats about a week, and the man in the disney shop has said they've been told that its only some shops that are getting it in. So it might be hard to get closer to Christmas. The dress is £50 bit looks beautiful, I'm debating with myself if I should get one for dd2.

I loved that film, much better than frozen.

caramelwaffle · 09/06/2014 20:53

Thanks kimlo

Rosvita · 09/06/2014 21:36

mayhem agree with your comments about kids' birthdays being near to christmas-same for my dd. I'm fairly confident that what I've bought so far will still be appreciated come christmas.

Rosvita · 09/06/2014 21:37

Btw Maleficent looks great but I think it will be a bit too dark for my dd and would scare her may have to go and see it by myself

JerseySpud · 09/06/2014 21:38

Frozen stuff will no doubt still be popular. Tangled stuff is still popular and thats been out for years.

I have dd2's birthday next week then no more kids birthdays till Christmas

HoneyDragon · 09/06/2014 21:42

Dd's is the week before Xmas. Guilt free planner here.
