We need a new thread to continue the very successful countdowns of 2013 and 2012.

And before anyone does the Hmm face (or Xmas Hmm face ) take a look at some of the 'Panic Threads' at the end of December when people were "Twitching" and stressing.

Organisation is key.

(I just need to find somewhere that'll work out how many days it is Grin )

nick - MaryZ is a well known Christmas 'H8r.' (hater)

Bung a Christmas related post on Chat any time before Dec 23rd and you'll be wearing your 'nads as earrings Grin

I think she does her Christmas shopping - all of it- food, presents, cards, wrapping paper, tree , fairy lights, Baileys on the 23rd at 7pm, then has Christmas Eve for a lie in and some last minute "Twitching" at 4.30 pm.

Oh, the Christmas Eve Twitch.........Wink

Mmmm, maybe 'hater; is the wrong word.
Just not before we've got Guy Fawkes out the way.

methinks MaryZ protesteth too much!
she loves it really! she's probably the one who starts ALL Christmas threads under different NCs Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/03/2014 00:57

I think you're right Zing

I don't like chickens and I don't have pre-schoolers.
So I don't answer posts in Preschool or Chicken Run

But MaryZ does seem very "Mr Angry of Purley" on the topic of Christmas.
I reckon she starts them all in AIBU then sock puppets Grin

Haha

Does anyone else use supermarket "points" to save up for Christmas shopping?

I have a few pounds saved up from Nectar, Boots, Clubcard etc

Always say I'll buy the £1 stamps from Iceland (always buy Christmas veggies/yorkshires from there along with M&S)

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/03/2014 21:02

A hater? on a Christmas thread? oh no, just jolly people here please Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/03/2014 22:09

I save my Nectar Points for a huge Sainsburys shop

Last year I was Twitching and bought a 5 holder silver candleabera . Not an essential Christmas item but it was heavily reduced , and looked luvverly on the table.

Those Double Nectar Points add up Smile

Oh my! This thread was made for my 3.5yo dd!!! I'd say on average, between me and DH we get asked about 30 times a day "how many minutes until Christmas?"
Confused

HermioneWeasley · 15/03/2014 17:46

My DCs are watching "the nightmare before Xmas" and now I want it to be Christmas! Just over 9 months to go!

50shadesofknackered · 15/03/2014 18:25

By "already" you mean "Is is that close already"

not

"All ready" as in "Are you all ready, already"

Because that would be a ........no Blush (Not yet but I'm working on it)

May I join the Christmas madness?

I love, love, love the festive season and am feeling quite grumpy about the lighter nights and the prospects of the clocks going forward.

But I do also love 'holiday seasons' in general and have just taken delivery of a tree (complete with lights so looks quite festive) which am planning is going to be our 'holiday tree'. I plan on decorating it at Easter, Halloween and, of course, Christmas. DP just rolls his eyes at me and starts muttering.

I have started squirrelling away stocking fillers and have decided that the DCs will probably be due new bikes by Christmas.

We also have a Lapland trip booked this year which is very exciting but am trying not to get too carried away with thinking about that, and will not tell the DCs until the last minute, in case it gets cancelled for some reason.
