We need a new thread to continue the very successful countdowns of 2013 and 2012.

And before anyone does the Hmm face (or Xmas Hmm face ) take a look at some of the 'Panic Threads' at the end of December when people were "Twitching" and stressing.

Organisation is key.

(I just need to find somewhere that'll work out how many days it is Grin )

I'm putting in an order for some more sturdy storage boxes, including special wrapping paper roll sized ones.

Was so tempted to purchase some Christmas/Jan birthday presents yesterday (there are still sales on in different stores)

DD and I were in M&S at the weekend, they had a small display of Christmas sale stuff (I think 70% off)

I sternly walked away......

DD was "It's gone past Valentines Day and nearly Easter and they've still got Christmas paper" (very judgey I thought)

HermioneWeasley · 22/02/2014 20:32

Bought a festive scarf today. Bring on Xmas 2014!

Farrowandbawl · 22/02/2014 20:42

Oooh, where did you get the festive scarf from?

I've managed to get 18ft of thick green garland for me to decorate, some battery powered lights to go on them, some charms and some baubles - just need the twine or wire so I can attach dried fruit to it later on.

Need more ribbon to trim the stockings with.

Need holly and berries etc for the empty baubles but that's something for later in the year too.

I might dry some tangerines tomorrow seeing as the kids haven't eaten them.

Sainsburys had a "Ho Ho Ho2 jumper in the sale rail (oh, be still, itchy fingers) I didn't buy it.

Noooooo. I'm waiting for the The Snowman jumper to get back in stock on Ebay.

(On a mission here)

I had my first 'Christmas Panic' dream of the year last night.

I dreamt it was Christmas Eve, 4pm, and we had no presents...or coffee Grin

Smilesandpiles · 25/02/2014 18:24

I've nearly finished my stockings.

Just need to buy more ribbon and unstich one cuff (it's backwards) and sew it back on and that's one project done and dusted.

I really need to make a start on the garlands too and get that measured up.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/02/2014 22:39

Dusty I quite often get those "Christmas Panic" dreams.

No preparation done
No presents
No nice food
I'm running round the garden picking ivy to tart up some candles for the table and make a boring meal look festive.
It's really sad when I think I've got a whole year to go to have another try.
Then the relief when I wake up and it's August Grin
