We need a new thread to continue the very successful countdowns of 2013 and 2012.

And before anyone does the Hmm face (or Xmas Hmm face ) take a look at some of the 'Panic Threads' at the end of December when people were "Twitching" and stressing.

Organisation is key.

(I just need to find somewhere that'll work out how many days it is Grin )

I know caramelwaffle all this talk of snow and I want it now.

Mellowandfruitful · 01/02/2014 21:48

Oh, I am so ready for a snow day. Was supposed to snow this weekend. Happy to get snowed in any time in the next fortnight. I have tins in the cupboard and Christmas candles left. As long as it doesn't happen during half term...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/02/2014 22:28

I just looked at the weather report (10 Day forecast) . No snow on the agenda here.
And the ground is so saturated, it would have to freeze solid before anything would lie.

We have the joyHmm of major roadworks and a strike on the Underground. Don't want snow as well really,

Its freezing here too, I''ve got the heating on. The wind is howling round the house and it's raining! I would love some snow but I can't see it happening this year Sad

I saw a mini christmas tree all lit up in a window today. It made me smile a lot. Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/02/2014 22:26

Our outdoor potted Christmas Tree is still sporting it's solar lights Grin but only works for an hour or so now.

At least it hasn't fallen down like one of the other trees

We had a bit of snow here today, it didn't last too long tho Sad

caramelwaffle · 11/02/2014 16:34

317 I was fully expecting deep snow here like this time last year.

I'm determined to spend one Christmas in a snow filled place.
Perhaps Norway or Iceland...or Scotland. Anyone else?

no sign of snow here.

I'd love to have Christmas in snow but I don't want to leave my house at Christmas to do so (I have a Christmas Cupboard of nice things for Christmas cooking and the table)

A few years ago we had snow a couple of days before Christmas....then there was the worry about the shops not getting stocks in.

A Christmas cupboard?

Thought we were doing well having Christmas boxes Grin

Ohh yes, The Christmas Cupboard.
Mainly to hide things from DH (so that I can produce them later and deny all knowledge of spending money Wink )

Ivy print crockery (years old)
Portmerion Holly & Ivy
Spode Christmas Tree
Carafes
Glass jugs
Glass dessert dishes
Huge serving platter
and ohh loads of things Grin

Very envious of your Portmerion and spode 70

I've just bought a lovely red and white spotty dinner set which I put in my Christmas cupboard today. It's not just Christmas now, it's where I pop all my Christmas / Birthday/Easter/summer things and my lovely glass collection.

I am a bit of a collector and have a lot of crockery etc to suit the occasion, so flowery ones for summer, ones with eggs and chicks for Easter, along with a silly amount of vintage cake stands. Just realised I need to get the valentines bits out for tomorrow Blush

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/02/2014 09:31

You could use the red and white set tonight nick

I have a plain glass cake stand
Glass clear cake plate

Need to get some Easter Crockery though ( but I have Easter cups for DS and DD; and some gorgeous little white ceramic spoons with little bunny rabbits at the top) Blush

No Valentines Day emoticons :(
