I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

OP posts:

Silver Cross Pop Duo Doll's Pram half price in Argos so down to £14.99. I then had a £5 voucher so got it for £9.99 - so chuffed because it was a bit of a twitch - but not one that broke the bank.

SomePeopleNeedHelp · 23/12/2013 22:02

Pirate ship takes about 45 mins. Wasn't too bad. Dc might be disappointed they can't play straight away though?

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 23/12/2013 22:22

Wow- tesco refunded the £7.50 extra I had spent on the two zhu zhu sets on Friday! Well done them :) always worth an ask! never would have dared without this thread

chocolatespiders · 23/12/2013 22:27

Does the Boots online sale start midnight Christmas eve? Ideal for presents for next year, hoping I can be more organised Smile

DrankSangriaInThePark · 23/12/2013 22:34

I have also just wrapped aplaymobil school! I never prebuild playmobil...t'is a tradition that Christmas day afternoon dp takes a bottle onto the kitchen table and his little screwdriver and is gone for hoooooours. T'is great! That was my last thing to wrap.

I have loved these threads and the banter....and thanks to everyone, esp reastie (and lovely Isaac) I shall remember these threads whenever I see the scarf, the finger lights, snitch, and flavourly box! (Contents of which we ate in Tesco while in the queue)

Oh and I won £100 in an asda comp I can't remember entering!

Oreocrumbs · 23/12/2013 22:39

chocolatespiders I believe it does start tomorrow, there are some half price cards on now but not much else.

If you are after gift sets and such, then if you can face a scrum - and it is a scrum, then on the 3rd Wednesday in January they reduce all the Christmas gift sets to 75% off - instore only.

Go early, go alone and grab! I got all of this years smellies sets this way last jan.

I paid £2.50 for the £10 champneys spa sets, got a few no.7 sets and others I can't remember now.

I didn't get there until the afternoon and there was still stuff there but I imagine it was a gold mine first thing.

But it is a bull bait.

chocolatespiders · 23/12/2013 22:55

Oh my- I have never see the 75% off, will be ready for that Grin

I like the shampoo sets as they come out cheap compared to buying separately and other gift sets good for DD's friends.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 23/12/2013 23:04

In the midst of sorting this present fiasco for family, I forgot it had most of my friends gifts in! Problem being thst almost all where bought online so can't replace in time!

Any ideas what I can get for £30ish... she's into designer labels, expensive make up and shoes...on xmax eve that doesn't mean me going to the West End!

ICanSeeTheSeaFromHere · 23/12/2013 23:36

Pop it is worth asking. I went in for a dress and knew a friend was wanting one... there alone on the shelf (next to a gruffalo) sat one lonely bear!

Coveredinweetabix · 23/12/2013 23:36

I built the school a couple of nights ago & it took a couple of hours. All the pieces are divided into plastic bags in the box but there is no logic as to what is in which plastic bag so you keep having to look through each bag.
My top tip - work out where the clear panels should be as then you won't put them in the wrong place.

Coveredinweetabix · 23/12/2013 23:39

I just looked on the Clinton's website. Their sale starts at midnight on Xmas Eve. Having spent the evening wrapping, I have decided to only ever use naice wrapping paper rather than nasty stuff from the corner shop which rips so was looking out for deals. The M&S stuff is already half price but I think I'm going to hold out for a better deal.

TooWetToWoo · 24/12/2013 00:07

This year is our first foray into Playmobil world. Bit worried now that we should have pre built Xmas Confused

They're for DS2(3), it's the camper van, pool and a FC with snowman set. Do you think I should unwrap them?

TooWetToWoo · 24/12/2013 00:09

Covered last year I picked up some Disney paper in Aldi for 10p a roll, it's quite good quality and even has squares on the inside to help cut it straight.

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 24/12/2013 00:17

Have been wrapping my present hoard all night. Dh looked very shocked at the size of it, don't think he believed how bargainous it was!

The hamster set is all boxed separately so yes, it could be split.

Coveredinweetabix · 24/12/2013 00:51

toowet - DD had the pool for Xmas & that only took about 20 - 30 mins

andadietcoke · 24/12/2013 05:25

lego magazine subscription? Are Quidco still doing the £15 cashback offer? They had InStyle and Marie Claire for £15. Otherwise could you buy her a few months subscription to Flavourly or those beauty box things? No idea what they're like though.

Chocolateteabag · 24/12/2013 05:46

Lego - no Groupon or Wowcher offers for facials or manicures near to you?
otherwise maybe a gift voucher for local spa that they can email you?

MooseyMoo · 24/12/2013 06:03

Clothes are included in boots sales. - half price

MooseyMoo · 24/12/2013 06:27

Just managed to get a switch & go Dino for £6.50 and Duplo Snow White Cottage £6.50

Lots out of stock now but the above still in stock. That's a couple of bday presents sorted Xmas Smile

MooseyMoo · 24/12/2013 07:07

And just bought DDs main bday present - Playmobil swimming pool with water slide for £14.99 (and more vtech Dino switch & go)

Must step away from Boots website...

Oreocrumbs · 24/12/2013 10:11

I bought some clothes and Christmas cards, and a picture frame in the boots sale. That's all I want from them until the 75% off day.

EEEEEEEE it's Christmas eve!! Xmas Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/12/2013 10:30
