I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is just £1.75 on Amazon right now The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Paperback)

SomePeopleNeedHelp · 09/01/2014 23:56

Some good prices according to Camel camel on amazon dvds - Gruffalo's Child, Brave etc.

Looks like they are going to change free delivery to £10+ with no exceptions.

daddykyller · 10/01/2014 07:50

Surely amazon are going to get some stick for that dewcision. People will move away and on to play.com, who have free delivery on everything in their winter sale right now. I've always liked amazon as a kind of no fuss, pretty cheap place to get stuff, but they are shooting themselves in the foot here.

FaceDirectionOfTravel · 10/01/2014 08:00

We've got an Amazon Prime trial at the moment and I'm wondering whether to pay the £49 for a year's worth of next day deliveries. So useful not to have to think about it and to be able to order birthday presents for the kids' friends in a hurry! But in two minds still - need to cancel today if I want to cancel so I'd better make up my mind...

Sakathu · 10/01/2014 09:13

I love Amazon Prime, it's not very convenient for me to go to the shops in the city centre, but Prime means I can get things next day anyway. Definitely worth it in this house!

stickysausages · 10/01/2014 10:19

In Morrison's this morning, got a Batman Annual for 98p (they also had hello kitty, Lego chima, skylanders, one direction & union j) a dove men set for £1.98, lynx set & So! Bodyspray set, £1.98 each

Nix01 · 10/01/2014 10:28

ThanksThanksThanks
Thank you Nix - that is the first ever free photo thing that I have actually got round to creating and ordering and not getting peed off with the website and abandoning the whole thing! Woo hoo!

daddykyller · 10/01/2014 13:08

Just discovered If you sign up to Amazon Family you can get a free three month trial of Amazon prime for 3 months (that's a lot of 3s) and you can cancel before they charge you anything. Good way of breeding their new10 quid minimum. You might even be able to get another trial of prime on it's own by then? Worth a try.

Reastie · 10/01/2014 14:19

up to 50% off lots of toys and games, clinding leapfrom things right now on amazon.
Looks like some goodies in there :)

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 11/01/2014 00:07

Can i ask an amazon prime q...do you still have to spend £10 for free delivery or can it be anything?

Reastie · 11/01/2014 07:15

moosey you made me buy an H box and choc reindeers half price from hotel chocolat! DH will be having a christmas box of chocs for valentines day this year!

Reastie · 11/01/2014 07:17

hope I have prime and I don't think there's a minimum order amount but some items are still 'top up items' you have to get with a bigger order. There are also other items sold via other companies through amazon that you still have to pay postage for. You can search on the amazon site just items which are delivered with amazon prime by clicking on the prime button on the left hand side once you have the search results.

My 39p choc candles arrives yesterday, also amazed by the size of them!

I got my 39p candles yesterday. I think they smell horrid. Is it just my nose? They are great for 39p but would not have paid full price. Generally pleased with the items.

Mipe · 11/01/2014 08:57

I missed the 39p candles but ordered quite a few of these Easter chick tea lights for £1.99 instead :).

More bargains in the local tesco today. Mostly of the chocolate and biscuit variety. £1.50 for a huge box of mixed biscuits. Got some for the house as it works out cheaper than buying separate packets for when the biscuit barrel is empty. Picked up a couple more as they will be in date still when it's my birthday at work and people take something in.

RhondaJean · 11/01/2014 19:57

Large jar of rowntrees ransoms for £1.50 in my local tesco. I may have already eaten about half of them but I am admitting nothing.

Lot of cheap cheap DVDs and bluejays tool. DVD - treasure buddies £1 for dd2, true blood season 3 £2.50 and 4 £4 (I think it went through at £3.25) and blue ray magic mike for £2 went through £1.75. Last three are for me obivously Grin

Christmas cards all 38p/63p a pack, crackers £1.75, gift bags from 25p so that's me stocked up for next year. Heading on Thursday to boots to get the present buying started.

Ooh and I got a tunnocks tea cake travel mug for £1.50 which dd2 has hidden to give DH for his birthday.

And this For £15 www.denby.co.uk/silicone-bakeware+utensils/denby-jet-black-5-piece-utensil-set/invt/186010841/?source=150_74&gclid=CO_ar4bz9rsCFQXLtAodlV0ATg

daddykyller · 11/01/2014 21:09

LeapFrog LeapReader World Map (Works with Tag) down to just £7.49 right now on Amazon.

thought that looked a great deal.

daddykyller · 11/01/2014 21:50

Some cool stuff on the ebay sale top-picks Lots of highstreet names too like the argos ebay outlet, as well as the entertainer and zavvi, are on there, with all their clearance items etc.

Mama1980 · 12/01/2014 08:16

Glad to see we're all still here, love this thread!
Vampireology board game on sale at tesco direct for £3. Adult game detective/quest type thing, great for my board game addicted family Smile

500internalerror · 12/01/2014 08:38

Can't link at the moment, but last night I took delivery of the Sage and Onion puppets from tesco, & they are fantastic!!! They're a fairy/woodland boy and girl, £12 & £14. Very muppet style, & huge! They are about the height of a large toddler!

daddykyller · 12/01/2014 08:54

LEGO Ninjago 853409: Spinner Storage Box WAS £14.99 on Amazon........now just 99p. Amazing bargain I think. Plus free delivery as an add on item (when you spend £10 due to their new rules). Also useful if you see something for £9something, and don't want to pay (for example) £7 delivery. Just add this on for 99p instead:) Sell it on ebay for a fiver if you don't want it, but then I'm sure everyone knows someone who likes lego.
