I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

La Trucha The deal is £11.99 for 24 months. You get the smart phone and the sim. This includes 500 talk minutes, unlimited texts and 250 mb internet access. You don't need to add anything else if there is enough talktime etc for what you use. I don't know what you are getting for your £10. a phone cover and screen film is always good to protect it Smile. The cashback is paid later.

I have just got an email from the company offering me £20 for referring friends if they sign up and give my name and phone number.

Went into my local Boots today hoping to pick up some bargain toys like the ones listed but there wasn't any there :(

But, if anyone's interested, they had some lovely 'foodie' bits that would be perfect if anyone's thinking of doing a hamper for an upcoming birthday. They had Jamie Oliver, Gino DeCampo, Nandos and some other brands i didn't recognise. Dressings, utensil sets, recipe books and note books for writing your own recipes and lots of other bits. All half price.

reastie, I thought that was an odd word to use when thanking you for a gift! I would've been delighted with a food hamper! Confused

500internalerror · 03/01/2014 19:43

Getting a bit worried as to the whereabouts of my whsmith order Confused

Ikea have packs of paper gift bags down to 25p, card coasters the same price, & big tabletop star lights for 2.70.

BeaLola · 03/01/2014 19:58

I wonder if dotcom have realised this thread is the cause of huge surges of custom Grin

Bit of feedback from my end

The Flavourly hamper apparently went down really well with dhs friends. I ordered the December one - the wife bakes do liked the cookie mix, I added a box if chocs Fromm half price Thorntons winter collection & put the whole lot into the big pretty Thorntons box (I'd split the contents up)

The couple we have that to have us a lovely present. They'd individually wrapped done body shop stuff up (she butter shower gel & soap for me, pink grapefruit shower gel & body spray for dd, shower gel & aftershave for dh & shower gel for ds & put the whole lot in a box with shredded cardboard. So on Xmas morning we individually picked our items out. Dd especially loved hers.

On the current bargains front if anyone uses Lancôme colour fever lip gloss they have been discontinued. Debenhams are selling what they have left at £10 (I've been to 5 different shops to track down the ones I like). Bots on the other hand still have the few they have left at £20.

Not a bargain at £11.99 but a very good family organiser/diary.

MsAspreyDiamonds · 04/01/2014 04:44

John Lewis have reduced their Christmas themed postage jiffy bags to £1-£3 depending on size.

MooseyMoo · 05/01/2014 17:13

Just had a catalogue delivered by Next. I have never had a catalogue. Contacted them and they have cancelled the charge and stopped sending catalogues to me now. I asked why I received one as I hadn't requested one and they said they were sending them out to all account holders.

I can keep the catalogue as a gesture of goodwill but am still annoyed about this.

Received one of my online sales purchases today. Not happy with the delivery company, Hermes, they put my parcel inside the bin without the lid on so it got completely soaked. I did specify whilst ordering that the parcel should be dropped off next door if I wasn't at home. Luckily the clothes were dry but why did the driver think it was acceptable to leave a parcel in the bin in full view of the street? Anybody could have stolen it. I will make a complaint to the delivery company.

I am quite impressed with isme customer service. i ordered a toy in October which got opened for a birthday yesterday and it doesn't work. They offered either a partial refund or to pick it up for free and a full refund. Looks good to me.

Davros · 06/01/2014 11:00

I have read quite a lot if this thread but not all so please forgive me if this has been asked already. Has anyone seen Xmas tree lights, the ones with green wire iyswim? I can't find bargain ones anywhere. Thanks
Reastie deserves a MN medal for her input on these threads, amazing!

madmomma · 06/01/2014 11:29

tesco had loads of kids socks & tights very cheap yesterday

Reastie · 06/01/2014 13:19

I'm very excited. Just went to sainsburys as they were further reducing christmas stuff and putting more stuff out on the shelves. Got wrapping paper for 20p a roll (OK, not asda value cheap...), some cuddly christmas fairy/santa toys down from £7 to 70p, christmas tree decorations to 10p, a science museum gift thing from £4 to 80p, a nice vintagey mug with biscuits (long best before date) down 70p, some chocs for 10p and a star wars stress ball thingy for 80p. Must be over 1/4 way done for next year already Grin

Davros I saw some heavily reduced christmas lights last time I went to homebase but that was a while ago so not sure what availability is still like.

MsAsprey hermes delivered a parcel for me and it was actually soaking wet and some of the stuff inside ruined Angry . It was posted on 21st december and I didn't get it until 30th Confused

Oh, and just incase you hadn't noticed, christmas nn has gone Sad till next year

Davros · 06/01/2014 16:22

Thanks Reastie I will look at Homebase. I just went to M&S for some food as we've been away and had to take some photos of the EASTER stuff on display! Not just hot cross, which they seem to have most of the year, but EGGS!

Reastie · 06/01/2014 16:26

Speaking of Easter and eggs Davros Blush there's no hope for me I bought these half price Joules egg shaped bath fizzers in an egg box for DM and Dsis for Easter. Thought someone else might be interested. Good for ladies who don't want more choc for easter.
