I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

MooseyMoo · 01/01/2014 13:34

ohhelp just had the Heston chocolate pudding and it's a Christmas pudding with hidden chocolate sauce. Am so gutted as don't really like Xmas pudding and was looking forward to a chocolate pudding. Humph.

Nix01 · 01/01/2014 21:03

Happy new year everyone. I hope your Christmas' was fantastic. My children were thoroughly spoiled.

I need some bargainous knights for my son's new castle. I've seen these on Amazon which look great, but would be even better if cheaper:

www.amazon.co.uk/Schleich-Dragon-Knight-with-Sword/dp/B00B1D7BIY/ref=sr_1_20?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1388604014&sr=1-20&keywords=knight+toys#productDetails

Nix You could try elc - they have knights and monsters etc for their castle stuff.

They only have one set of troll things on offer at the moment - for £5 instead of £10 for a pack of 3 but they often are all at that price or at 2 packs for £15. I got lucky before christmas and got them for half price plus 20% off. Also got the ogre thing and catapult at that deal which my sis gave him for xmas - ds2 was so smitten with them that he didn't bother opening any more presents when he saw them, nor playing with any of his cousins and other guests, just took them upstairs and played with them on his castle BlushGrin

I also got him a set of scooby doo figures from b&m for about £6 (the entire scooby gang, all articulated, a bit bigger than playmobil people but fine to play in the castle with) which has given the castle a whole different dimension for playing as there could be scooby and pesky kid type adventures discovering naughty people dressed up as knights/monsters/ghosts etc. Helped by the fact that ds2 adores scooby cartoons!

LaTrucha · 02/01/2014 07:43

Bear Hunt

I am officially exhausted with buying presents. I've had Christmas, DD's birthday and now we have Reyes, which is when Spanish children get their present. Spanish relatives have sent money for me to buy them things, and I know that DD has much less than DS, but I really cannot get up any enthusiasm for buying more toys! I can't even think what she would like, except a tablet, which is too expensive.... unless of course, you ladies have seen a...... BARGAIN!!!!!

milk · 02/01/2014 09:25

Eco Battery Vehicles for £16.50 for children aged 10years+

Looks like great fun :)

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 02/01/2014 10:01

Thanks all for replying :) Tbh I've got so much going on at the moment that I really haven't got the time or energy to do any more chasing with them, I've wasted so much time (that i havent got) on it already. I guess I'll just keep the sets for next Christmas. Won't ever be using The Body Shop again though!

On a brighter note I've discovered some fantastic sites thanks to these threads that I'll continue to use now (Pumpkin Patch, Urban Outfitters and The Book People) so wasn't all bad :)

Which reminds me, does anyone know if The Book People have (or are likely to have in the near future) a free delivery code? There's a book I've been after in their sale.

On Christmas day my son had his ninja turtles in there, was great fun!

Nix01 · 02/01/2014 14:18

Does anyone still have any ELC voucher codes available please?

MooseyMoo · 02/01/2014 14:51

Managed to get some bargains in Gap for both DD and DS. Pjs for £6.99, tshirts for £1.99 and £2.99, tights for £2.99 and a lovely knitted dress for £11, jeans £4.99

ReastieYuleANBU · 02/01/2014 18:26

I'm not sure my food hamper I made for some rellies with some flavourly stuff and other bits went down too well. I received a thank you letter today and it was described as 'intriguing' Hmm . That's on a par with 'interesting' and 'different' surely.
