I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

Had to nip on and say that the finger light display in our bedroom this morning was very, very impressive!

RhondaJean · 25/12/2013 11:25

One of my presents from dh was...

The fattoria Christmas hamper!!!

All that oohing and aahing over the catalogue obviously worked :-) he's got the freebie bits in his little mostly flavourly hamper I made up but he hasn't opened it for a look yet.

3bunnies · 25/12/2013 13:56

We are having a break in present opening as we have too many bargainous presents! Highlights so far include the scooby doo sets - all bargains at under £15 each, the imaginex submarine, pillow pet blankets, pink tack, personalised towels and pencils.

We are the only MN family without finger lights as they have had them before and are planning to use them for party bags. The horrible histories pen which I couldn't find fell out of one of the bags, 10 mins after stockings and having left the other two at home - so I now have officially started my Christmas 2014 stash!

Thanks for all the bargains and please make sure I don't buy as much next year already ordered zhu zhu pets ! Happy Christmas.

ReastieYuleANBU · 25/12/2013 17:45

Finger lights went down a treat here, all the adults wanted to play with them too and said they would like them next year for themselves Grin

Had a lovely day yesterday, thanks to all those who helped me find bargains! Charlie and the Choc factory book went down very well, as did whisky from achica. Dotcomgift shop have some nice bits in their Christmas sale, may have already ordered some for next year, sorry can't link on ipad

Oreocrumbs · 26/12/2013 09:39

Congratulations Spotty! What a lovely surprise!

We got engaged at Christmas (years ago), but it wasn't a surprise - I chose my ring a few days before Christmas. All was going well until a couple of days later and we walked past the jewellers with a huge sign in the window of 25% off all diamonds Shock.

That equated to a lot of money. I was gutted and couldn't look at my ring in the same way. So I took it back.

Then I went for a coffee and bought it back Xmas Grin.

I've bought a few bits from M&S this morning, cards, crackers and wrap and these PJ's for DD to be next years Christmas eve pyjamams!

SomePeopleNeedHelp · 26/12/2013 10:50

Half price playmobil police car with flashing lights

Wineandchoccy · 26/12/2013 11:07

My 7 year old nephew has slept with his finger lights on Grin he got a furby, hudl, Lego etc but the cheap pressie from China seems to be his favourite.

Funkybutnot · 26/12/2013 16:05

Congratulations spotty lovely news!!

Best pressie here has been the £7 squinkies set from tesco. Grin DD using them to recreate the xfactor! Lol

Playmobil pool gone down well and DS just loves his Skylanders swapforce!

Congrats spotty , that's fab. Honestly, this Christmas I think I have given out the best presents ever with the best response ever. For very bargainous prices, I'm so pleased but have alot to live up to for next year Wink

That's the bit that worries me tbh reastie. The pressies went down so well I don't know if I'll live up to it next year. Dd's tech pet was predictably her best one. A bargainous £5. Ds1 loved the mighty boom ball which came in at around £2. Ds2 loved everything (but he's 5 so that's not unexpected). Dh keeps saying how much he loves his food hamper and what a great idea it was. I'm stuffed really!

Huge congratulations to you Spotty. That's so exciting. I wonder if you'll have a date set by next year's threads!? Xmas Grin

Whoever posted the bargain Lego train, thankyou x 1000000000! Was a gamble as DD hadn't asked for one, but it was her main present and she was thrilled opening it and has been building and driving trains for the past 48 hours :)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 26/12/2013 21:05

Nerf gun has been today's big hit. Brother wants one for himself and asked how much! Ah well, I said, if you follow the bargain threads...

SpicedTeaAndXmasCakeOrDeath · 26/12/2013 22:38

Just got an email to say bear and hare are in stock Funky!

Funkybutnot · 26/12/2013 23:33

Thank you spiced but can't seem to find it on there....I'm sure JL are doing this just to tempt me on to their website and hope I buy something that I don't need! Wink

DrankSangriaInThePark · 27/12/2013 00:06

Congrats spotty!
Best bargains here seem to be the owl jewellry from China. Dd hasnt taken the chain watch off since yesterday morning. Magic trees and snowmen gone down well as well. Off to home bargains tomorrow for more to take back to Italy.
