I am so happy with my sainsburys bargains... lots of lovelyvhalf price wooden kitchen acessories.

Home Bargains have some shallower gift baskets (with no Christmas theme) that are ideal for smaller hamper - £1.99 each. Just done a lovely hamper for DS nursery workers as off on maternity on Friday!
Also some novelty Santa trouser design bottle gift bags that hold a bottle in each leg - 99p each fabric. Ace for neighbours etc
If anyone looking for newborn gifts they have UNBELIEVABLE discounts on the Green Baby range (organic/para ben free etc) most retail at £7 each plus - nothing was over 79p!!!! Would make a v expensive looking thoughtful gift for any new parents

This is a bit of a random one ... Ice Grippers Non Slip Ice & Snow Grips, reduced to £3.30, from £9.99, with free delivery from Amazon.

I'm dreading walking in the ice with 2 yo and 3.6 yo this winter. These are supposed to be really good.

Went to Sainsbury's this morning and was v little of interest. They never have many toys in the store. Went back tonight for something and noticed that they had got lots more toys out - bigger ones such as half price baby anabelle, nerf guns etc. Might be worth checking again, although I still resisted, either I or the dc have become over saturated with toys!

ICanSee, my sainsburys only had wooden pans and wooden cupcakes. What else did you get?

Also for whoever mentioned the Holister sale. Bought ds1 half of his Christmas clothes plus another t-shirt to wrap up and a bottle of aftershave and it was still cheaper than the original price. Although I had to spend over £75 to avoid paying £10 delivery charge robbing gits

Apparently Baileys is going half price at Morrisons tomorrow. Might make a good gift.

oreo I just looked up the market stall on Asda being nosey as now I think DD1 needs one. and is showing in stock? I didn't even think of a market stall for DD1 before this thread. As well as saving me money it's giving me brilliant ideas.

Wow thank you issynoho I have ordered two of the ninon money boxes and two of the little prince money boxes. I looked at them last year but couldn't justify the price. I've now got one each for dd, ds and my new baby nephew and dd's best friend for the same price as one last year!

Got the Turtles figures I asked about yesterday in the Sainsburys sale for £7.50 each, I looked in Asda and they didn't have any in ours :( could have got them cheaper in the Argos 3 for 2 but at least I was guaranteed to get them this way!

Eliza, I've just had a look at that market stall - that must be what they are carrying in stock now, it was a wooden one that I was initially after. I can't find that anymore so it must be discontinued! Thank you for pointing it out though.

So does anyone know if the Sainsbury's market stall is wooden or plastic? If it's plastic I might just get the asda one. Sainsbury's is a bit of a hike compared to asda.

Girl with, I got both of those, a wooden 'kitchen aid' style mixer, gingerbread men cutter set and a basket of plastic and cardboard food... all for under £20!
