Just got this magazine subscription for my 11 year old.

3 month subscription to XBox One Magazine for £1.00. No free gift but as the magazine is £5.00 per month its a bargain.

I have done my research before comitting to this and emailed the company and they have confirmed by email that I can cancel the direct debit after recieving the 2nd issue and that there is no tie in for 12 months.

I had asked them to confirm what issue I will recieve (as would like it to start in December as I was going to put his first issue in his stocking) however they cannot confirm this.

They did say however that it can take up to 6 weeks to process therefore the first issue will most probably be Decembers.

Once the order is processed you get the option to create a v-gift card. I printed a christmas one. Very nice.

My Boden order has been dispatched (I used one of the Z codes on top of the discount already applied)

Zeeky try Aldi for portable dvd players.

I went out to real shops today and saw a couple of bits,
The entertainer had duplo on offer its in store only apparently though.
They also had those hex bug robo fish for £8 with a bowl which is half price
The body shop also had a huge sale on. I got a body wash for £3 instead of £8, perfume for £5 instead of £10 body butter for £5 instead of £13 and moisturising oil for £5.50 instead of £11.
They and loads of gift sets reduced as well as make up 3 for 2.
Primark was filled with lovely Christmas stuff and I got keep calm it's Christmas t shirts for several people, rudolf earrings £1 a pair, face masks for 90p.
Oh and wilkinsons had herbal essences hair mask 200 ml pots for £1.71 which is less than half price. Got several for my mum and dd.

My mum bought magazine gift subscription a few years ago for the gift - which never materialised. When she rang up to complain they basically said tough - there were only 50 gift sets available, first come first served. And they reckoned on getting significantly more new subscribers a month, especially when a nice free gift was advertised. (my mum doesn't do computers so she would have seen the ad in the mag itself or in a mag from the same company cross-advertising.)

When she went back to look at the ad they did say there were limited numbers, first come first served etc but in teeny weeny out of the way buried in the t&c print. If you just looked at the body of the ad there was no indication that there was a limited stock of stuff.

Wonder what the advertising standards authority thinks of these ads?

I think they send a replacement gift though don't they? Strange because hearst magazines sent the perfume and sanctuary gift super fast but no watch and Conde Nast seem dim/slow

Thank you MAMA for the body shop heads up. I just got a few body butters and body wash in the half price sale and also used the code 14665 for another 40% off. So the body butter were £3.

Oh I hope the watches turn up- that was going to be a stocking filler for me!

Hoping the printers turn up soon, if they've sent the dispatch email they have to honour it.

I hope that's true CatAmong they've certainly had long enough to realise and inform us if they're not giving us them.

I've found the free gifts which come ?ith glamour to be very very slow. They were the same last year as well. One I ordered last year was put of stock and they did send a replacement, a rather lovely goody bag with hair and skin products in it which was such an acceptable alternative I can't even remember the original gift

But they are very very very slow, and seem worse because the perfume/watch/sanctuary gifts arrive instantly you place the order ime, before the first mag, whereas the glamour gifts appear about a month after Thr first mag.

The printers are not coming. Had cancellation email from Amazon about an hour ago.
