I have discovered the perfect Christmas Day breakfast - IKEA's cinnamon buns! They are mucho delicioso and have made my house smell unseasonably festive - they'll be lush on the morning of the big day accompanied by a glad of Bucks Fizz! Smile

Waitrose do freezer bags of cinnamon buns & other breakfast pastries for £1-£2 a bag.

YY, breakfast is the gold coins that you get in your stocking plus the last advent calendar chocolate (the big one) and the contents of a selection box, if you're still peckish.

We had pancakes last year with a choice of toppings. DD recently said "I love Christmas because we get to have pancakes for breakfast!" so I guess that has cemented it into tradition (one of the few I didn't nick from MN :o)

I used to have grilled grapefruit when I was little.

Last year we had cinnamon Christmas tree bread from Morrisons, I've seen they're doing a reindeer head shaped one this year Grin that was while we opened Santa stockings. Then we had pancakes which is the DCs absolute favourite breakfast.

This year we're at my parents along with my sisters, their DHs and DCs so pancakes for 16! can't wait and the DCs are insanely excited about being with their cousins for Christmas Grin fortunately parents just about have enough room for us all!

We always have eggy bread on Christmas morning. After stockings, before church. Dd1 requested it when she was 6 and it's stuck since then.

We have just had cinnamon buns from ikea for brekkie!

We all loved them. It was a great way to start a Sunday of really boring chores.

I love Ikea cinnamon buns and their frozen pancakes are also surprisingly amazing, especially with their chocolate and butterscotch spread on them.

Baked French toast is still the favourite Christmas breakfast in this house though.

Oohh I bought the IKEA buns (once)

Not a fan, they were a bit bland and doughy,

Costco and Lidl do scrummy round patisserie tear and share buns in a foil dish.

Usually Christmas Day breakfast is toast and nice jam.
(On the 24th we might have pancakes, On the 26th, Big Vegetarian Fry Up)

Bit of a daft tradition really, we have always had DW's home made bread still hot from the oven (Funny but she never gets around to baking it any other time) and a gass of bucks fizz - Always a great start :)

I can't eat chocolate first thing, makes me feel sick. I blame dd because I was never like that pre-pregnancy! We will be having pancakes, raisin and lemon for me and dd, white choc and cranberry for DH. We will have a second breakfast about 11at PILs which is usually croissants and pain au chocolate with bucks fizz. Christmas dinner isn't until 4 at my parents so two breakfasts are needed to keep us going!

I did Nigellas Christmas muffins last year, really easy as you can weigh out everything the night before. There were delicious.

We have the full Australian. Which is similar to a full English breakfast so eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, toast. But cooked on the BBQ!
We'll come inside after and switch on the air con!
