After checking out Sainsburys, Asda, and Tesco yesterday I can inform you that Asda is the best value for chocolate and biscuits, followed by Sainsburys, with Tesco trailing behind. (Come on Tesco, Terry's for £2.37?? Really???)

trying to order from tesco direct it keeps removing the item from my basket and telling me it is unavailable when it is actually in stock. supposedly they are looking into it but have been since 3pm yesterday. does it often do this, first time ive ever shopped there?

ginandlime the other place to look for bargain bike but not neccessarily new is the bumblebee site.

It's the police site that sells off recovered stolen items that the police can't match to their owners.

You get to bid on the bikes but it's different from eBay in that there's an end time but if somebody puts ina bid moments before it ends then the time is extended for another 10 minutes and so on, so that they get the best price. But it's nowhere near as busy as eBay so not as bad as it sounds. And some really good bargains to be had.

Hello GinandaDashofLime, I thought it would be easy to find a boys' bike under £50 as I bought myself a full-size bike, new, from some online store a few years ago for £45 and it's my favourite of the bikes I've had! However the best I could find was £60 from Tesco if you can stretch the budget a little bit?

so much for these threads Reastie. Just totted up my bargains and I've saved £161.50 in discounts AND come under budget by about £80! Only a couple of small gifts to get now (eg chocolates, a small candle) and then I'm completely done for everybody!!
