Husband was duly persuaded, boots bought with discount and are an early Christmas present. They have not left my feet since they arrived, I don't care that I won't have a present to unwrap on Christmas day, they are soooooooo comfy! Thanks also to Nospringflower on the voucher thread.

Ooooh tough one. Ds was 6/7 when he got his as he was desperate for a two wheeler. The Bugg is still with us, so it was worth it. His best mate at the time got a Micro Maxi 3 wheel.

The Maxi at that age was great as he could go miles on it easily.

But the Bug had the edge in convenience and being able to do tricks! and gave him the cool factor with the big boys. Ds mastered two wheels fine though, absolutely no problem. Really did not take long before he was doing speeds that scared the shit out me

wanderingsoul and pogosticks - I bought the tablet for the wii last year in the amazon black friday deals - I paid £10 for it, free postage and I think they were quoting an original price of about £50 for it then.

Both ds have loved playing with it and it's particularly great for ds2 who needs help with pen control. Plus for both of them it means they have the concept of using a tablet cracked and are both now happy using other graphics packages on PCs etc.

Forgot to post this but my local waitrose had reduced two sylvanian sets to half price, the collie dog family was about £4.99 as was the lolipop lady set.

Anybody wanting festive finger puppets (santa, reindeer, snowman, penguin, bear set or 6 piece family all wearing santa hat), have a look on ebay. No idea what the quality is like but they all have very similar pictures so guessing that they are coming from similar manufacturers.

Cheapest cost £1.65/£1.70 for the set of 5 or £2 for the set of 6. I'm thinking of getting them to use as table decorations for boxing day when we have loads of family of different ages coming, so one for each place, maybe sitting in the glass or on the spoon.

Think they would also be great as stocking fillers, cracker fillers, decorations on the christmas tree or for use in hampers - to sit over bottle ends for example or just poking out through things to be a bit of festive fun in the hamper...
