Hello lovely bargain hunters, I need your help! I have bought the Playmobil pirate advent calendar for ds, but have been searching for something similar for dd, who is 2.5 with no luck. A lot of the advent calendars with toys in seem to be only suitable for older kids, but mark my words, there will be tears throughout December if she doesn't have a calendar just like her big brother's Grin . If anyone sees anything suitable for a tot I would be eternally grateful Smile .

I made it back form Ikea not to worse the wear!

Bought just one big blue bag full so not too bad have ear marked a fortune worth of big things I will need a second adult to help with though.

I was at the Gateshead store, but I should think they will all be the same. They have a Christmas section set up at the end between the self collect aisles and the tills.

I noticed these 24 gift bags, with stickers so you could use them if you are making your own advent calendar (think this was discussed a few threads back).

There are some lovely decorations, some bright coloured ones, some red and white Scandinavian ones and some traditional ones. I bought these you can't really see very well on the link. They have matching wrap and bags to each style. This shows the pattern better.

I also bought the gingerbread house kit, and the food hall are selling bottles of their version of appletiser and peartiser for £1.80 ish, so I bought some of that. (We let DD have a wine glass with this 'wine' in on special occasions - keeps her quiet for 5 minutes).

I had to dig around to find the elf, they also have some mini elves and fairies for £1, but in a separate bit.

They have a new range of cuddly toys too, that appear to be characters from childhood classics, things like a badger in a waistcoat (wind in the willows), an owl (owl and pussy cat) several that look like they might be based on alice In wonderland characters.

guiltyconcience (your name sums me up ATM!) well luckily in a way it's for MILs birthday in a few weeks so it would have been too late, which makes me feel slightly better. If this is true though I may go back then and get one for my DS.

Got these for fashion conscious sister thanks to the hello kitty link, she loves anything with crosses on so think these earrings will go down well.

Just seen an advert for the Argos toy exchange being back on, you take in unwanted but still good condition toys, they give the toys to Barnardos and give you a £5 voucher. If I remember rightly from last year there's a minimum spend you have to use the voucher on but if you need toys frm Argos it might be a good way to get rid of the PRE Christmas clear out.

If you look at this link to the boots page

www.boots.com/en/Sanctuary-Spa/Sanctuary-skin-care/?page=2&Ns=&Rpp=12&viewType=listView

About half way down you can see what looks like the two items in the zest gift set. One is £22 and one £25 which would be right price wise.
